High sec is not the newbie yard in some sword and spell MMO.
While the rules of HS may make the place seem Safer - no place is SAFE in EvE.
Use the tools available to you. Use the tanky miner if solo, or operate in a group.
And ALWAYS pay attention.

Don’t go afk in space, just dock up at a station or fit a cloak.
It is, if you consider getting ISK ‘winning’.
However, if you skip the rich variety of activities that interact with the EVE universe and it’s inhabitants to gain ISK and instead use real cash to skip straight to the part where you can lose big expensive ships, I would consider EVE a pay-to-lose-bigger game.

EVE offline shows a clear rise from september/October last year. Clearly pre covid.
P2W is buying in game advantages that can not be attained in a reasonable way via other means. PLEX purchases to sell for isk are Pay for convenience. A very different thing that does not cause an imbalance in the game world as a whole. Just like buying the WoW max level character boost does not imbalance the game, it’s still the same as anyone else’s. There is not a secret 6th skill level unlockable by plex, that would be P2W.
You do not get to redefine terms to suit you.

And yes, in EVE you can do just that.
No you can’t. You don’t get to redefine the term to what you want. It has to be advantages not reasonably obtainable via regular game play, aka gold ammo and the like. Since EVE does not have such things plex are not p2w and neither are skill injectors.
