What would be the first thing you’d want FC to fix about the NPE? Like let’s say the first related patch comes out next week, what’s in your opinion the most critical thing to get done first?
What else should FC do about the current wardec system in your opinion?
What should FC advertise to people instead of “EVE without PvP” instead, if you can think of an example. I’ve heard people are “scared” to try the game because there is the possibility to get killed when they’re trying to learn the game for the first few days.
What module icon would you make FC change first and what would you want it to look like?
What do you think of the academy ships FC announced? Are you excited for them?
Lastly, what would you recommend for people who want to help newbros get into eve but don’t know where to start to do?
Q: Alphas were implemented to “explore the game” or “still taking part when in financial troubles”, at least that was said when (back then CCP) introduced them. However, from personal experience I know many groups today run “Alpha Programs” to beef up numbers in remote locations, establish a presence where they otherwise would have the access challenged, collecting information or harass other groups out of pure anonymity. I am not talking about “a few occasions” but corp- and alliance-programs involving literally many hundred mainenance free alpha altchars trained for different purposes that have absolutely nothing to any more with “exploring the game” or “staying connected without omega”.
Do you think thats a problem? It basically defeats a core principle of the game, that the decision to be at once place has the consequence that you can’t be present at another and travelling between the two can be time-consuming or costly or risky or even totally blocked boy opponents).
Would you agree to limit Alphas more than they currently are to give them less power when used in organized group programs or otherwise in sheer masses?
Dujek was awesome to work with during CSM 19 and I’d definitely want him included on the board for CSM 21! Long time WH veteran and advocate for all, he’d be a great addition for CSM 21
I would want the corp joining process to be much better. Advertisements in particular. I also want the game to explain to players what options they have after they finish the career missions. In the long term, I would like players to be able to design tutorial modules for new players (Fenris has briefly talked about this years ago, as a modification of the project system).
“A safer starting experience” would be more accurate. I think EVE used to have more of their cinemantics geared towards recruiting, and that would be good. Highlighting the coolest parts of eve fights, eve economy and industry, that all items are player made, etc, would be teaching people about the cooler aspects of eve.
The top of my list of new module icons is changing the multispectral, radar and burst jammers, and all the low slots that are identical (overdrives, hyperspatials and jump fuel economizers).
I think they will be fun - I will look forward to seeing some stats.
Be a mentor and be willing to answer many questions. Go out and do fleets with them even if it is below your level of content. Find other new players to form a support group to play with. Teach at the different universities in eve, be inclusive in all your fleet activities.
Absolutely I think it is an issue to be looked at. I have given a few instances of how I would like to change alphas, including not letting people have multiple alphas ready to go on their launcher, unless those characters have been omega at some point, tweaks of what they can train, not allowing multiple alpha accounts to be on the loading screen simultaneously. I would rather alphas be more powerful for new players and less possible to have multiple in any way. I would also look into how many skill points are needed before extraction.
Out of all of the candidates running this year, Dujek is by far the candidate that I would absolutely love to serve with at least once since there aren’t many new player oriented candidates out there at the best of times.
I know he’s mentioned this a few times, but in case you don’t know, Fenris didn’t update the list of CSM. So Dujek is still on there as a current CSM. Without (too much) complaint, he’s been handling inquiries and issues even though he’s not currently serving. That’s the type of CSM Dujek is.
I know how much work he’s put into his last term, so if you have a vote for him this time around, it’s well worth it for new players and for eve.
I know he posted his interview videos already, but here they are again:
Dujek’s contributions to the Tournament Training team are hard to understate, he’s done heap to helping me teach newbro all about the tournament scene and pvp in general, I can’t endorse him enough really
