inb4 it’s the same as the last trailer showing off invasions: They look cool… But gameplay wise- “Meh”.
It’ll be a rehashed invasion zone where all the gates shut down at the end, you need to kill the mothership at the sun. Or not even that. They’ve teased it but won’t release it fully for months.
New Jita station.
New ship type- Maybe trig/capsuleer hybrid (note blue laser chain weapon).
Or it will smoke the cluster just like the Drifter Invasion did because nobody cares. The removal of drifter invasion was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Co-incidence that CCP only recently pushed a stream of “Clear Skies” in which the plot is all about, guess what? Mucking with a star gate.
The map is due for a bit of re-routing. Go throw Nijara out into low-sec as a start, or stick Jita up in cloud ring.
So if cloaky camping is legitimately not AFK, it shouldn’t be a problem if CCP adds anti-AFK gameplay mechanics to cloaks then?
Show me someone cloaky camping with 30 alts, and I’ll show you someone who’s botting/macroing/scraping the info so they can AFK on 29 accounts.
ISKBoxer was outlawed not because of it being used to run mining fleets, but because on person got caught running 50 stealth bombers with it.
CCP might talk about successes against cheating and botting, but its hard to see when there are such obvious abusers with alt[0
50] present in a a region.
That’s a dead horse and stick topic, one that’s been argued about ever since the introduction of cloaks.
Show me someone cloaky camping with 30 alts, and I’ll show you someone who’s botting/macroing/scraping the info so they can AFK on 29 accounts.
Not necessarily, it’s totally possible to run that many accounts without doing any of those things. Kusion Special Team is a fine example of one player running close to that number of simultaneous accounts while doing something more complicated than cloaky camping, without resorting to cheating.
I could give a crap about Eve’s lore, and only care about game play, but there’s a reason why teaser trailers are so popular -namely, they help build interest and anticipation. And if you can get 3rd party content creators (such as eve’s talk shows, or youtubers with a wider gaming audience) analyzing, speculating, and/or reacting to the teaser, that’s a huge win, because that basically results in free advertising.
Also…
Well that was an absolutely useless post that just goes to show that Eve players will complain about everything.
New ships are new content… especially if they have some novel mechanics tied to them.
For long time it was all for PVE, nothing for PVP. Time to balance a little bit. Also economy was getting into crappy state where everythign was being overproduced and there was no reason to move out of your constellation as you had basically everything you need in it. The only exception where isotopes for different fuels - which can be easily imported from jita. This led to stagnation as there was conflict drive.
It has always been pvp game…
Thursday… so that there is a day to do quick patch for Friday in case of some bugs.
Premeeting to plan premeeting for planning meeting to plan… yeah, Dilbert.
In Hek people actually dueled in frigs
They don’t even read updates… and then act all surprised when market changes come in or moon mining is changed…
Don’t forget about low sec.
Maybe Hagilur → Thelan or some other ls.
It was Minmatar regional gate to Gallente system.
Nothing will be ruined as far as trading goes. Any semi-competent trader just gets richer… is the way it is.
CCP: Releases a teaser trailer
Some Players: This trailer doesn’t tell us anything!
Other Players: Pffft. Pitiful cash grab!
Also, you do realize that the devs nerf things for a reason -right? They’re not just like, “mwa ha ha ha ha, let’s screw that guy over there because I don’t like the cut of his jib. Mwa ha ha ha ha.” So, maybe instead of complaining, you should view changes as an opportunity to profit and/or gain an advantage over those who are slow to adapt. I’m just saying.
“Let’s introduce a bunch of research agent skills that take forever to train. Once everybody grinds standings and trains the skills, let’s give the datacores away for Incursions! Suckers! Mwa ha ha!”
