ECM is dead. Sell now

Now that’s some next-gen emergent thinking right there. Ofc it requires that you assume fitting ECM will outweigh the value of that mid slot against every other possible comp you could end up facing. So… meh.

And you’d have to successfully land your jam. Which is insanely hard in a non-bonused boat.

That is true, but if ccp plans to increase the jam strength in return it might still be an option :).

A slight chance to get reps is still better than no chance :).

No, Widow

Ah… whew. Yea I fooled around with armor tanks, never found one that I really liked. You can armor tank it sure, and then it becomes an… alright ECM boat (lots of modules at least!) but little to no pew. Was underwhelming to me.

I’ve always looked at the Widow as a bigger Rook (ironic lol)… tank, spank, and ECM all mixed together. None 100% reliable, but combined, a good mix.

Caldari, the new dedicated fleet support faction.

Almost like it was and always has been an Electronic COUNTER MEASURE. ie its dedicated and unique form of defense. God forbid a non-damage focused hull have a counter measure.

ECM is now totally worthless. Best to sell now for anything you can get from some sucker.

Where have you been it’s always been this way. There are very little good caldari solo ships, now there are a little less.

LOL. Only a moron would underestimate their ability to do that.

Still going to have a hard time targeting that Falcon alt that decloaked 100k off while webbed in lowsec.

And for null fleet fights. Wtf is a logi gonna do now that it can freaking target the ecm ship??

Not a damn thing.

This just allows the jammed ship to target the ecm ship.

Learn to read and think sheep

No. This is taking nearly 1/4 of an entire factions sub-cap fleet and walling it off, reserving it for fleet support only. If a combat ship can’t maximize its role in 1v1 combat it should not exist…

Lol where are these mythical solo pvp gods in Falcons and blackbirds and scorpions?

Rarely do people freaking 1v1 solo in those ships lol.
Wtf are you talking about.

Anyways eve has never in the past 15 years ever been balanced for 1v1 or small gang even

If you refuse to see the reality of this ‘balance’, that only speaks to your ignorance and apparent arrogance.

This barely affects anyone dude.

I roam most of time in cruisers solo pvp and love to take a flight of ecm300s if I need to run.

I wont be able to now. Fine. It was a cheap ass get out of jail free card just DEPLOYING/RECALLING 300S UNTIL YOU GET A JAM THEN WARP.

It was cheap. Solo escape is LITERALLY THE O LY THING AFFECTED BY THIS CHANGE.

And it should be. Even as one affected.

Now that’s adapting!

Ah don’t be so negative, now you can jam 5 people and have selective 5 vs 1 :-/

300s will still work to escape. but not to permanently jam.

From blog.

So no they wont work.

The borderline broken mechanic has been when things start heading south 1v1 or if you bit off more than you could chew was to

  1. Align out
  2. Deploy ecm300s to attempt to jam to break scram.
  3. If jam doesn’t work, immediately recall and redeploy to get another jam attempt in seconds. So no waiting the cooldown.
  4. Repeat until jam takes, which basically ALWAYS WOULD given enough deploys/recalls, then warp.

With balance pass, enemy lock never breaks, so you are always scrammed.

This will literally affect nothing else in game.

This just allows the jammed ship to kill the jammer.

But basically everywhere else other than 1v1, the freaking jammed dude would never be able to kil the jammer anyways.

People arent even thinking this out lol

The jamming ship is the drone. Not the ship deploying it.
