but it doesn’t work that way you need your jams to land SEVERAL times over the course of a fight or you are screwed. an lach sitting 40km is much scarier than a falcon 50km off.

Same is true for ECM but ecm has the advantage of just shutting a ship off completely even if it’s at 500m from a target, an ability that damps simply don’t possess. If my whole squad dumped ecm drones on to a lach what would happen? Is that in itself balanced?
If your squad is dropping ecm drones on a lach, you guys are foolish. What you should of done is primary the fucker and blap him off the field, no wonder you are salty; as you don’t know what to primary in small roams.

… no it doesn’t ecm gets exponentially worse the more pilots you get. a good lach pilot can keep 3 cruisers locked down at 50km just by cycling damps properly. and i guarantee you that lach has friends one of them is probably a rapier or a second lach
Wow would you look at that, I have a 58% chance to jam an arazu at a range its scram cannot reach, with 2x ecm multispec and 1x grav. 73% chance if I take a mag instead of grav jammer
Why not take counter ECM with you? A Falcon is not that scary when ecmed.
The problem is the way ECM works not necessarily the % chance or the amount of it on field. From the research I did last night, CCP made sieged dreads and FAX immune to ecm on merely the theoretical chance of it happening based on reddit posts. I can’t find any evidence whatsoever it went live. Then ECMgu’s were used in WH which resulted in further nerfs and thus the final immunity patch. Even CCP had to admit that the idea of ECM killing a ships power to fight back is idiotic no matter how small the chance was.

CCP just fixed it because normaly u field only one FAX in WH. With that patch they approved that the rest of ecm is working as intended and its not that op as you think. So many pilots showed some counterparts. Of cause there is always a situation when ecm seems to be op especially in 1 vs 1, but its nearly useless in 1 vs 2 but that is how pvp in eve works.

I don’t fly falcons, you can dump all your damps on me until you are blue in the face but when my tackle gets on you your ass is mine.
have you never flown against a gang that flies these? or flies them right? how is your tackle getting that close to me in the first place?
your flying with an arazu you are generally in a kite fit gang that sits relatively close to one another and have loki or rapiers to screen even if tackle some how does slip past and grabs the arazu unlike the falcon it can put up a decent tank of its own.
and this is the 200 post mark, no one has yet been able to state categorically that losing total locks is worse than being shut off by 1 jammer. The direct comparison to damps has been made and yet you still defend a % based chance of being shut off. No matter how small the chance. Now you are trying to invent completely fictitious scenarios where I’d vege out and chase a lach/arazu with a rook fit for close range combat. You have failed to demonstrate that damps are stronger than ECM except in large groups. Damps don’t do diddly ■■■■ in a brawl.
