If I could go back and do things over again, I would absolutely do a trade skill.
Not exactly free, as the tax payer picks up the tab, but in this case, I would/do gladly pay it to help our service men and women, who put their lives on the line for us. So absolutely, take advantage of that! And I’m glad you did!
Also, thank you for your service. And I do mean that!
Yes. I do. And a welder? You’re not even close.
The forum’s a little messy since the moderators left.
Mr Epeen
I wonder if CCP could implement ChatGPT to moderate the forums.
I know PA is looking into it for all community service departments. I don’t know if EVE is on the list though.
Mr Epeen
Anytime ganking is discussed, it gets messy.
How was your Holidays Mr. E?
I spent another year end being not born again. And my daughter’s test came back negative, thank God. I don’t need to have another child at my age.
So pretty good, all in all.
How was yours?
Mr Epeen
It was good. Pretty quiet, but good.
Frosty could model or are you referring to something else?
When I was a senior systems analyst, my boss used to say that the people who’d just left uni with computing degrees were often too cocky to be taught anything as they thought they knew it all already. I worked my way up from trainee programmer over 5 years, and learned way more in that time period than all the graduates ever did.
As with all things in life…even Eve Online…you can’t beat hands on experience. I don’t think anyone’s ever become an elite PvP-er just from watching a tutorial.
Zaera left uni with a computing science degree. It taught her a bit of everything , made her a jack of all trades, a master of none, giving her the ability to go in any direction from programming to networking low to high level. With the ability to deisgn and plan for the future. At university ,professors were shocked at what she managed to do.
After uni, joined a small company, responsible for their IT. Her task was to take them into the next century which she quickly did.
Everything learnt on the job to accomplish my task was self taught. Due to what I gave them , they became a multi national multi million turnover company .
Zaera was cocky but with good reason.
Not much different than us fang
This, right here.
Academic knowledge doesn’t even hold a candle to applied knowledge.
I would take the testimony of a lowly bench chemist, with only a high-school diploma, that had been doing method 8260 for 5 years over a Ph.D that has never stepped foot in an environmental lab, had no clue all the issue and problems the daily operations deals with, and the solutions. The academic bubble creates people with with this complex of useless information.
What do moderators actually smell like?
Had you watched the movie The Fanatic?
Wonder what the behind of their eyes smells like!
All is elite PvP. It takes different skill sets and knowledge.
The Prophet encourages people to even try and get ganked, to learn how to evade.
Keep New Eden from descending further into softness and shallowness.
Remember, death is a friend and when He finds you, it is always your fault.
Speaking of elite moderation: Just imagine if the Frostpacker was allowed to moderate the forums.
The answer is very simple: Neither.
I do elite mining. It takes a different skill set and knowledge. I also do elite security missions
