Eve is Multiboxing 2 win - a new player experience

You’re right, more and more players want everything to be free, fair and equal. I think they confuse “game world” with “Utopia”.
I know that when I get everything in a game I don’t want to play it anymore. There needs to be some things to look forward to acquiring, some challenges and the idea that certain goals will not be attained for a long while if ever. That makes playing worth the time.
I don’t subscribe to the idea of “fair”. Life isn’t fair so neither should the games be. Someone will always have an advantage, that’s how things are. As for free… I guess most people know what the word on “free” is.

Well it didn’t stop us so…

Sorry but this is both not ethical and about fairness totally not true.

Okay, so we have the goal set by CCP.

Being the biggest asshole.

No we can properly say that EvE is P2W because there is a set winning condition.

The argument that Fairness and ethical are the same is a logical fallacy. See “false equivalency” for more on this topic.

It is very true. It’s so true that it hurts for you to read it. That’s just the way things are. Forget “fairness” or you’re going to spend your life a naive whiner.
About ethics: EVE is a game set in a fantasy world, doesn’t have to be ethical, just or fair. It only has to be entertaining and challenging.

I absolutely agree.

In theory yes. But believe me, even if you play or a fun. Coming to an ice belt only to see 20 mackinaws+orca all with similar name is kinda frustrating. Getting ganked by 20+ toons with similar name and portrait also doesn’t feel exactly great.

Whether is the player playing to reach some goal or just to chill and have fun with no specific goal in mind, running into scenarios like the two above can be very demoralizing and is likely a reason why topics like these are created.

Get over it. That simple. Or create your own MB fleet and attack them etc. There are other ways to deal with it.

Getting your panties in a bundle or clutching your pearls doesnt do anything

No need to worry about me, I am multiboxing myself. If you can’t beat them, join them right? (But of course, if I could choose between EVE with multiboxing and EVE with, I would play the version of EVE without.multiboxing  )

I am simply trying to point out why new and solo account casual players might see this as a problem.

I guess it can be frustrating but fortunately it’s not the only ateroid belt in the system. I’ve see systems with 20 belts. There’s plenty for everybody and you will always have hoarders and selfish people who’d take the entire world’s food supplies for themselves if they could. Thankfully those type of people don’t have many friends to do their insane bidding.

If you undocked a ship you can easily replace it shouldn’t be a problem. If you expected to be attacked ( which you should always ) then it shouldn’t be that frustrating. Being attacked by one or twenty, what’s the difference if you were unprepared anyway?

I’m 100% solo.

I don’t see it as a problem because I don’t subscribe to this notion that everything has to “fair”

So, I have a “disadvantage” (but not really- because I don’t compare my game play or time with other people) boo hoo.

I know, how about, I don’t give a rats fart. I play the way I want. Not how people think I should.

We will sadly disagree on this.

Well, that’s just not true. Jeckyll and Hyde can live two completely independent lives in Eve.

Sure, but neither one is a main.

Let us know when you decide who you are!

P2W or Multibox 2 win?
To “win” what, exactly?
The generally accepted method to “win” EVE is to stop logging in.
So, in order to win, I stop paying?
How is that “pay 2 win” or “multibox 2 win”, if I “win”, I’m neither multiboxing nor paying.

Only one group has ever “won” eve in any other way.
The Pan Intergalactic Business Community on the Chinese Serenity server “won” EVE on that server by conquering the map so hard that all their enemies “won” EVE by biomassing their accounts.
By “winning”, they wrecked the game for themselves and their enemies also “won” by no longer logging on.

Although many of those players are now playing on Tranquillity, so maybe they didn’t win and PIBC actually won and now have a total blue doughnut, which must be as boring as it sounds.

Now now, that’s not a way to treat someone with multiple personality disorder.

Totally disagree. You’re making a philosophical speech about the lack of justice and ethics in the world for the sole purpose of omitting that the game you fanboy over has no serious regulation and is in a precarious state whereby it allows multiboxing.

And I repeat, there is a difference between the entropy that can exist in the game and political dynamics of a game like eve and the structural possibility of some users to log in with 4-5 accounts at the same time and have a basic advantage.

That said, enjoy your spoiled game, it’s none of my business.

You may, but it doesn’t change the reality.

I don’t much like the word ‘regulation’, it stinks of corruption, and EVE IS regulated, by the devs.
It would be in less of a precarious state if Alpha Clones didn’t exist.

Learn to multibox then the advantage will be yours.

Don’t go away mad… just go away and give me your stuff :slightly_smiling_face:

No, but then the original point was also completely missed.

Eve is a game where you don’t have to be a specific character doing specific stuff in a specific corp. You can live any number of completely different Eve lives. You can even be in corp A and corp B that are both at war with each other. Or be a miner in one Eve life and someone who ganks miners in another.
