Eve isn't dying, but it isn't growing. My answer that devs won't recognize

You want the game to come back

  1. Set the Omega Price $7.50 per month.
  2. Do away with scarcity. If you can not afford to mine the materials for new ships, there will be no conflict, just Ganking of easy prey in high sec.
2a. Asteroid belts should be only scan able and abundant especially in high sec. Special Asteroid Belts with all the roids should also be scattered in each system and there should be 30 to 50 belts in each system, you want to gank lets make it more interesting. Miners win, industry that is not controlled by Delve wins and more people will come back.
  3. Re-balance the ships for real. Address the Mass affect of ships so a little destroyer may take damage when ramming say a larger ship. Battle ships should have L,M&S hard points, larger capacitors for extra armor or shield, (a frigate should not be able to take out a BS etc) . Capital ships like Freighters should have top and mid slots for Shields, Armor for self defense.
  4. For those individuals that just refuse to join the F1 monkeys in null sec and just want to run PVE sites, make the police response time shorten as the Player’s standings climb with a regional power.
  5. Make Null Sec very hazardous but extremely profitable to hold on to. They do PVE every day and rake in the cash, there needs to be mega PVE combat drops that attack structures etc.
  6. Do not allow extortion of any kind in the game. Renting is extortion, and renting out space should be made illegal punishable to loss of 30% of the offending parties actions. This will increase conflict.
  7. Add a ■■■■ ton more regions to the game, make the map of EVE look like a big expanding ball. This will give the new players places to run to.
  8. Make a mining barge that can use a covert cloak and increase the armor and shields of these ships since they are designed to go into Asteroid belts and not be smashed by moving roids. Lets make ganking more exciting and help bring back industry, conflict and prosperity to the game.

These are just some of the fixes that would increase your player base, make PVP more active and more interesting. Also you are a business, keep your political views in the trash can so you don’t end up pissing off major portions of your potential income stream. These are just a few ideas that might turn your game around, that is if you other forty thousand paying accounts have not moved on in utter disgust of your lack of positive actions. Remember, go Woke go Broke, just look at Disney etc. You job is to make a game that makes you money, by retaining a positive player base, that’s it.

Sounds like you have been playing the wrong game.

How many more times are these mewling kittens going to ask for barge EHP to be boosted before ganking is finally “exciting” enough for them?

Wow…and I thought I was a bitter doomer…you make me seem like an ultra-positive flowergirl skipping around hugging people. Thanks.

Maybe when the highsec mining titan with XXXL energy pulse weapons and extended invulnerability module is patched in. …maybe…

I really don’t think that’s a good idea. They’d also have to remove alpha clones and the economy would go to absolute heck.

They already did.

Do you want to ramove a major conflict driver?

That would completely ruin any aspects of the game. What happens if you approach a stargate with MWD on? Do you just instantly die from collision damage?
Do supercapital fleets self-destruct upon jumping en masse to a cyno and then bouncing off each other?
No!

Why not? A game with variable outcomes and hero stories is great for all involved (unless you lost a Kronos to a solo Heron Navy, in which case you might be a little mad).

Aw, so no small turret traps or RLML traps on battleships? :frowning:

This actually makes a little sense, but would be very hard to implement I think…
Overall, rewarding solo highsec play kinda defeats the point of the game.

Overall, that’s how it already is. Also, incursions exist.

How do you propose policing this with automation? Also, the absolute financial freedom is what draws a lot of players to the game. There are actual real life economists who write very fancy technocal papers about the economy of EVE. Dystopic fantasies are awesome!

An emptying galaxy will turn EVE into Elite Dangerous, where you can basically be solo and never see another soul. Bad call.

Eww, gross! Why hunt anymore?

Basically everything you have said would make PVP harder, rarer, and more repetitive.

Are you talking about the Ukraine thing? That was a HUMANITARIAN thing! Are you opposed to the Plex for Good Ukraine event?

Oh I see you have no idea what you are talking about. Just look at Disney’s finances since Ron DeSantis’s crackdown. Not much has happened.

Sounds like you need to take a hundred frigates out to lowsec, beg for solo fights, and have a blast! Highsec is NOT the core of the game, Nullsec is.

Incremental changes, steady modernization, occasional rebalance, bettering the NPE, advertizing, and more fantastic huge lore-based changes (Uprising, Invasion, etc.) can bring EVE the most success. Pandering to a vocal minority will not. Every MMO has its complainers, and time and time again the cycle has been put on full display. Startup, popularity spike, success, complaining, pandering, player falloff, complaining but this time in reverse (“good old days…”) in addition to the previous complaining, slow but profitable death.

Our job is to prolong EVE’s slow profitable death as long as possible so we can have our epic space battles, market manipulation, adventures, sightseeing tours, and friends for a good long time, because when the game dies, the experience can never be repeated. Enjoy it!

Your ideas have got us where we are right now. Results lacking.
Major conflict is non existent except ganking the new brows etc in high sec. Parasite lacking results.
Deal with new mechanics you META brow, game will be more interesting, What are you afraid of, Results you cannot control? Lazy Parasite lacking results.
Frigates are for pointing not taking out superior shields ect. Cheap ganks lazy parasite lacking results.
For once you agree about standings, your cracks are showing yet you have not produced results.
I lived in Null, wormholes, done it all except flying and building supper capitals and titans. Where are the 40000 accounts that left doing things your way??? Delusional, cheap, lazy, parasite lacking results.
I dont get paid to solve the problems people like you make, just point out things that will open up the game. SAY WHAT.
OLMECA GOLD hunted Imperium into a mental break down, Just one man took the largest Alliance in the game and bent them over the rail, so can you, just put your best foot forward and learn the META.
You still have the nasty Null Sec Blocks to fight or you can just go do LP sitting with your friends. No real improvements offered, delusional, cheap, lazy, parasite lacking results.
Pissing off your customer base will result is no money. Stop pissing in your wallet.
Slow but not so profitable death yes and parasites like you that work to no real results caused it. Bingo, Loser, no real ideas just bs, delusional, cheap, lazy, parasite lacking results. If CCP listens to your negative ‘all is fine bs’ they are not worth saving. Let nature take its course. Parasites die off when there is not food left, Enjoy

Does this mean that you’re done with EVE and won’t be torturing us with your asinine posting anymore?

Because we’d really love that.

I hope so!

Can you please at least try to come up with structured replies in a respectful discussion? I cannot really unpack your reply, you just insulted me a bunch it seems.

I still don’t understand the initialism “META”. Is that the word meta, as in the prominent playstyle?
I am, as they say in Bangladesh, muy confusion.

This kinda looks like AI generated honestly, but a really bad algorithm.
META was never defined, you say the phrase “delusional cheap crazy parasite lacking results” about 84.3 times, and you quotate incorrectly.
Maybe it is for EMPHASIS, and I guess you did recognize LP, which is relevent to my playstyle…

Also that irl politics reference is at least indicative of an online echo chamber, so maybe the replies are by AI projects with really poor data samples…

Unlikely. It is most probably a brain with really poor data samples.

Please leave the sinking ship while you can. I wish you the best of luck elsewhere.

How did EVE go “woke???”

Absolute rubbish. The biggest battle ever to occur in highsec happened only last week. See below.

Oh, and once again I see you are some expert on Eve yet have no killboard whatever. Figures.

PLEX for war?

That’s woke, I think. Or maybe just misplaced virtue signaling. But then virtue signaling is a woke trait, right?

I just don’t know. It’s so hard to keep up with the American boutique left’s catch phrases and buzz words these days.

Fair assessment!

Which color is that?

They mostly can’t, except when the battleship pilot is a dunce. A disproportionate number of battleship pilots are dunces, though.

Have you ever actually tried something like this or just parroting the mindless trope? It takes skill on top of life consuming obsession. These people eventually burn themselves out anyway… well I guess like everyone does eventually.

Nice synopsis.

A wierd beige-blacky color I think…
