“Increase veteran engagement through nurturing conflict”

You really think this is what veterans want ??
Maybe a bit of equaltiy would be nice ie, I pay $20 for plex to buy injector, I get 150k sp, new player spends the same cash and gets 500k. How does this keep the vets happy ?
Maybe survey vets and see what they want and don’t assume more conflict

Most of us A: Don’t buy injectors using Plex isk, we earn the isk in game because we are vets and can. B: Understand the meaning of diminishing returns and how this helps newbies feel the ability to be competitive. C: Understand that our greater earning power means we can afford 3 injectors to their every 1.

So its OK then for older people to pay more for the same MCD burger as they have earned income for longer ??
If you happy to work harder to achieve the same outcome I am happy for you. But its the principle of equality that counts…

May I refer you to a far better principle known as Equity if you want to talk about Principles.

Irrelevant to the discussion.

Absolutely relevant as the diminishing returns reflect an equity approach rather than an equality approach, on the basis that characters with more SP have higher income potential than lower SP characters.

I was saying I want equal value for the $20 I spend, how is it it relevant ? OH wait, I get less for my $20, maybe it is relevant after all.

You were the one asking for opinions. Just because we didn’t instantly side with you in demanding more.
I mean sure, you can demand “Equal value” all you want. But we’ve explained why it doesn’t work that way. And simply shouting “equality” doesn’t mean it should change, because equality is not desirable when it decreases equity.

Seems to me a Veteran injecting those SP into a fresh alt would not only get the same SP as the new player into their first character, they would also make much more practical use of said alt, including not wasting them on dumb skills like the new player would.

You get much more than the new player if you use them on the same grade of clone.

So yeah, its worth more to old salts than new bees

Rorq (and mining in general so people can’t box a mining fleet) needs an update. If mining was an actual activity and Rorq was the boost/ compression ship it’s supposed to be instead of mainline miner, there would be no need to “redistribute resources”.

“80% less isk from bots” seems like an arbitrary number where they once again refuse to show how they distinguish “bot” from “actual human fed up and left the game” or "we are using stories of bots to make our bad ideas look like they are doing something other than make people be fed up and leave the game.

@CCP_Dopamine hey can you guys keep updates like this rolling out more often? I hate playing with other people and updates like this will make sure that I can fly around with less people. Thanks!

Under 18k online, CCP is saying people not logging in are the bots or mad people like me?

Mid week, off peak time. Why are you surprised? USA are all asleep for work tomorrow and Europe isn’t awake yet. Aus is only just finishing work and about to log on even. So it’s about as bad as you can get timezone wise for players.

Yup, as @Nevyn_Auscent says, pretty standard number for this time of day/ week.

So, nine months since this Ecosystem outlook. Waddabout a server status outlook?

Set it to one year: 33k period average.
6 months: 32k
3 months: 27k
1 month: 24k
2 weeks: 22k

See a tendency here?

Yes, it’s called a lack of understanding about dropped data points causing the average to skew higher on longer term graphs.
