Have you considered what happens if everyone is flying the same I-win button? I guess you have, and you somehow donāt think thatās a bad idea.
Well, I do think itās a bad idea if everyone is using the same ship as everyone else that is miles better than anything else. EVE has a lot of ships and only if the are balanced and there are meaningful choices between those ships weāll see them all in space. If we just see one overpowered ship all the time, EVE will be incredibly stale.
Anyway, try to get one of the AT ships. Those are miles better than anything else. A bit expensive perhaps, but it sounds theyāre exactly what youāre looking for.

Its not ship balance when you add OP ships and you leave the ship trees you have to rot. Its just a future balancing patch ready to happenā¦ Triv ships is one direction - rebalancing the ship trees we already had would have been another.

Exactly, so buy an AT ship instead. It just so happens that I have a virtuoso for sale for only 250 billion! Imagine a 99% speed reduction instant lock 1000 DPS stealth bomber that gets to fit a bomb launcher for 0 CPU and PG, yours for the low low price of 250 billion!

too much balance is bad for any mmorpg! i mean some balance is good for pvp and stuff but making everything equal just makes everything boring! its a fact!

Luckily nothing is equal in EVE and every ship type is slightly different, making ship choices a really nice sub-game for people interested in optimising their gameplay.

Well, I have a counter to leshaksā¦ 'nadoes with mjdsā¦ in the bigger fights (40+ on each side) there is always possibility of alphaing the other side - at that point doesnāt matter how strong leshak is.
Although it is extremely potent at lower number scales.

Except everything is not equal. Actually, itās the other way round. There is a lot of diversity, each ship serves a specific role and even for a given role there are usually differences between the ships in that role that make each ship unique and better for some specific purpose than the rest.
Thatās why this thread is so silly and just shows how little you know about the gameā¦ But at least you havenāt gone out there creating a myriad of threads pretending you know how to āimproveā the game like the OPā¦
i never said that all the ships in eve are equal!
i agree with u that the System in eve to equip ur ships and make em Special in some way is very awesome! but also im saying that trying to balance everything equal in a mmo like eve(or most sandbox mmos) is a bad mistake!
like i said in my post above, small balance changes are fine but trying to make everything qual just to make some people happy is a bad mistake!
im a new player so idk how ccp will handle this, im just sayin because i did play aton of other mmos and alot of devs repeat this mistake over and over again!
and dont worry i dont plan to make any āāchange this and change thatāā threads! i came to eve because i love its core features!
joining a game that u dont like just to cry on the forums and make the devs change the whole game for u is freaking retarded (sadly this happens alot in mmos)
the only change/feature/update i would love to see in eve would be a ingame voting system (like runescape does it), but i want for every mmo and im sure most players would like a system like this too

vanilla/classic wow = cool and fun mmo

lol actually Iāve never played wow (only played demo briefly for maybe half an hour years ago).
Iām from a Guild Wars 1 background (also played guild wars 2 but fedup of it because it uses a new combat mechanic which I donāt like).
I recently started playing Everquest 2 after getting tired of guild wars 2. I wanted to go back to the original fantasy MMO class system (healer caster warrior etc)ā¦and iām loving it so much!
So I basically campaign for any game which has the old mmo trinity.
