Honestly, the hurricane fleet issue. I spent hours with that little guy grinding up for my first battleship. (And my second battleship, because L4s are a big adjustment for a new player)
The Harbaby-class Cattlebruiser is the greatest ship in Eve Online.
What it lacks in speed, it makes up for in power and versatility.
And in looking like a hammerhead shark.
Its slow speed meshes well with my slow brain, and its hard-hitting lasers mesh well with my ability to press F1.
And if I accidentally web something, taking advantage of its FOUR (4) midslots, my lasers might even hit it. What’s better, I’ve the pink SKIN for it!
But, to stop meming for a moment, the Harbinger was the first ship in Eve that I actually felt powerful in. It was an affordable ship that made the universe feel as though it had opened up to me waaaaay back when I was a wee newb. To this day, it holds a special place in my heart not necessarily because it’s a good ship (and I believe it is), but because of the nostalgia I have for it from more than a decade ago now.
Kronos is my go-to ship for blaster firepower…although I lost one to a group of Code gankers in high sec due to my failure to react quick enough to the scum suckers… Lol…
Love the Catalyst. Would love to pilot a Hecate once I decide to give some money to CCP.
They’ve been giving me isk and skill books for various activities. It’s nice. Gives a boost to learning players.
Besides those two, I’d like to try a Gallente battleship one of those days.
May I ask what you are doing with the hawk? Faction Warfare? Abyss? I fly the hookbill the most right now and do Faction Warfare for some solo pvp and making money besides it.
Obviously most people are going to name their huge, expensive, ships as their favourite. However, in the smaller ship range I just love the Moa. It has an ideal combination of good EHP, good range, good DPS, and speed. And all for just 30m ISK or so.
I’m going to give my poor little breacher some love. Sure it looks like a shack with a TV antenna that someone glued random solar panels onto and is now flying through space. Yes, it has almost no dps, and requires me to manage two different tanks at the same time, but my breacher is loyal and true, just remember to get your tetanus shots updated before you fly one.
As a Minmatar explorer, my first choice is the Tech 3 Cruiser. Having the ability to customize it on the fly makes that ship very versatile and extremely useful.
My second choice is Interceptors, mainly due to their small sig and fast speed which makes them great for travel.
Raven Navy Issue (I keep remembering it as the Caldari Navy Raven). It’s big, bulky, fortress-looking. If you don’t really have to focus fire, seeing all the missiles going everywhere is a treat.
