Sooo…is CCP going to do anything with this event, even just try to fix the simple problems (spawns/objectives,etc)…or they just leaving it as it is…cop the flak and hopefully learn from it as we wait for the next event?
Just asking cause if they going to try to fix something in it i’ll have another crack at it, but if they not well I won’t hold my breath. Don’t mind either way…i can’t see them fixing it with such a short window the event is available tbh, just hope they learnt something for next time.
Both, more than likely. I won’t sugar-coat this…this event isn’t one of CCP’s better ones, in fact it’s one of the most dissapointing ones for me personally. There’s a lot up-side-down with it – balance, bugs, odd design choices. CCP will probably fix some, but not all of the issues. Hopefully though, both the issues fixed and those not will nonetheless serve as lessons for further events. That doesn’t mean there won’t be any issues with the next one or the one after the next, but if we’re lucky it will mean CCP can learn how to refine the live events better so the issues are rarer or less of an impact. We just gotta keep up the reports and feedback.
I know especially nowadays it can be demoralizing to run into features and additions to Eve that seem half-done or bug-riddled, but it won’t get any better if we just give up on it. Hell, I’ve wanted to scream at my screen a few times for sure, but we have to keep it in our heads that CCP’s busting their asses to make this work. We need to keep writing up bug reports when ever we see a need for one and give feedback on the forums/reddit/where ever we can (constructive, not the usual “you guys suck again, Eve is dying” type). Strangely enough it does seem like it’s much easier sometimes to see the error in folks far sooner than where they did good. This game is old as ■■■■ but still kicking ass in my opinion, and the fact that the devs keep putting out as much as they do with just as much passion as I saw in them when I started Eve nearly a decade ago gives me pause in a good way.
yeh well said as a player base we are not always gona like how things come out but its super nice to have a Developer team that gives a ■■■■ <3 you CCP
Had no issues yesterday…with the exception of no ore spawning. Was killing the frigs in my Merlin while fleetmates took care of the Cruisers. Also, why no shared credit for kills if you’re in a fleet?
After controlling a site and a North room for alone for like 20 hours on Monday and Tuesday I can happily report in that time to have gotten 3 standard bpcs and 10 basic bpcs and 0 advanced or extendeds.
Now when I see more than one of anyone in a room I just kind of laugh as one person alone would struggle to get what they want.
