EVE example: If I was a miner and a stabber or tornado bumped me, I’d log on my alts and gank his candy ass back to the clone vat. If it is a mach, I would log on an alt and start bumping him back.
Really, cause I haven’t. And I’ve played in every space EvE has to offer.

I keep seeing this term, what exactly is a ‘carebear’ ?
Carebears, as the cartoon, are the warm, fuzzy, harm nothing types. Unlike the 80s animated bears, they are rabid in their desire to remove any and all risk from whatever EvE profession they’ve chosen. All they want is to farm in piece. Which, while fine in concept, doesn’t really fit into the free for all PvP that is EvE.
And Gods help anyone who dares intrude into their quiet life of bot aspirancy.
This is what real EvE players do.

One of the things I’ve loved about EVE, CCP and this wonderful sandbox since I started in 2003 is that people are free to ROLE PLAY even if that role is the person they can’t be in real life due to societal constraints of any nature. I found out early on that if you truly want to enjoy this game you must consider high sec as little more than a Walmart and you should practice the “get in-get out” paradigm, in short high sec sucks. Thankfully null sec is still fully politically incorrect in every way, unfettered and hilarious, long may it remain this way.
You know you’re having fun when opposing fleets share the same room on comms just to hurl insults and laugh at each others dumbass mistakes, take no quarter, tactics be damned, everyone knows whats up, geturdone.

I have people on my facebook now wanting to see any videogames with violence in them. Ofcourse they are referring to COD and other shooters but its like
“dude its the government, you say you want videogames with violence banned, they will blanket ban everything remotely labeled with violence”
I started pulling off ersb ratings for other games like SimCity is rated for Mild Violence and others

EVE is now more complicated and difficult to learn than ever before.
Business, economics and marketing are not “hard” sciences.
Haha sharpest lesson you learned in Eve has been removed from game, how many people forgot to get a new clone got shot up and lost years of skill points with no way of getting them back. Eve has become a walk in the park since those days. The game itself is easy, it’s the people inhabiting the game that are complex what with the myriad play styles.
You not being able to tell does not mean it did not happen.
Tell that to Zynga and Electronic Arts while they laugh in your face.

It does not matter if it is a “hard” science or not. Learn about why people need to grind for XP, why Achievements and Lootboxes exist. Learn why Zynga’s FarmVille, Mafia Wars and all the others were so successful. Until you do so, you are not even remotely equipped to understand what I am even talking about. Educate yourself. You need it.

You need to educate yourself on the difference between hard and soft sciences.
Furthermore, business and marketing are classified as Arts degrees.
Ecomonics is a social science degree, and thus a soft science.

As long as you use the lines of others, you will be told that you can not come up with your own lines.
It does not matter if they are hard or soft sciences. It is still science, corporations still drop billions into research about how to make people spend money, and you have absolutely no clue about it.
