First gates shutting down

So I basically can’t play the game. GG Eve.

At least WOW has started again today, so will re-sub to that instead

About 10 mining cycles.

It’s very playable…just no jumps between systems. What’s the problem?

I live in a wornhole… so currently no impact here…

In real life there is one asset we can not get more of, time. I do not mind a game where I can loose things that I can replace. The time taken from me because I am trapped behind a gate can not be replaced in any way. With only so much time to play and real currency assets the response was to not sit there and wait but to log out and into another game. Brilliant idea to waste the one ill replaceable real world asset of it’s player base

The gates seem to reboot and get to “normal”.

The Trigs accepted the bribe

Is it more secure, though? Non-sov null space isn’t very secure, generally, for anyone.

I guess I can see mining, if these systems, as now null, have the null ores in them, and that this may be attractive to organized mining groups (with full military escorts) as a way to access these ores without being as remotely located as null.

The Trig missions and LP rewards would, again, have to be very special to justify the risk of mission running (and/or the expense of running them with military escort protection) in non-sov null space.

Gates working again here

Did zorya touch your freighter ;D

What kind of drugs did they give you to believe that fantasy?

Only if you warp your data or perception of data. We ar at 2015/16 player count levels.

Setting new records in frustration and annoyance, for sure.

I don’t see excitement. All I see is annoyance. Those fireworks also fired up and did so even more in other instances like the Imperial Coronation.

Yes, and in typical CCP tradition they played the wrong version. Here, let me give you the correct version:

Wow, Pedro, I know you’ve been rah-rahing everything CCPs been doing lately, but it’s getting to the point where you need to be delusional to keep sticking to the song you’re singing.

The game may certainly be more interesting for you and small portions of the playerbase.

EVE offline and the August economic report show that game activity is way down, trade is down, production is down, destruction is down, and players are exiting the game in significant numbers.

Aesir has it correct, here. I’m sure CCP and some people like Pedro want to believe they’re making the game better. It’s just a shame all those inconvenient facts and statistics consistently prove them wrong.

I don’t see anything like this in the Eve Offline data.

That must be because you’re only quoting part of the comment. If you ignore important details you sort of change the whole meaning around.

That’s the actual quote. EVE Offline shows one set of stats - login numbers heading down even though Covid has caused overall gaming traffic to almost double and we’re heading out of summer and into the fall ‘increased activity’ phase. Login numbers are only part of the picture and are easily inflated by running non-stop login events.

The ‘exiting the game in significant numbers’ is actually more evident in the August economic report. If you understand how the report works, you only have to look at the activity graphs and the Money Supply chart to see what’s happening.

Perhaps I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. I don’t know. You mentioned Eve Offline, though, and the numbers there do not align with your narrative.

“people are leaving eve” is the new argument of the cry babies
thats not a problem
we have enough people
they wont be missed

If you ignore 3/4 of a statement you will often end up misinterpreting it. The 6-month login average on EVE Offline is 33k. The 1-month average (in a traditionally higher month) is 25k. What part of those numbers “do not align” for you?

Pretty much the only way to look at login numbers positively right now is to compare them to the disaster of Blackout login levels and say “Hey look, we’ve come up from our lowest numbers in a decade!”.

As for @tutucox_Khamsi, he completely missed the point of the post. The point isn’t that people are leaving, that’s been happening for years.

The point is that people like Black Pedro and CCP who think the recent changes to the game are ‘better for the game’ are proven incorrect by CCP’s own numbers.

Pretty sure that’s not how business economics work. “Oh yeah, customers, who needs those?” isn’t the way to build for the future.
