For Folks who are 'Leaving'

ah, that may explain it a bit, being old I am not of the current generation

Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households . They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”

I pulled the plug almost two decades ago.

And once I got over my Teletubbies withdrawal, I came to realize it was the best decision I ever made.

Their sun is much more friendly than our EVE stars though… :sun_with_face:

Imagine a CCP made PvP event about fighting at the star but the star has a baby face on it giggling while capsuleers die in a blaze of fire. :scream:

This is categorically true. However, that generally only impacts the very few people around that event, more likely probably none, maybe a few neighbors.

Most civilized people don’t break up and then camp themselves at their ex’s door and stalk all of the new people they meet to tell them how crappy their relationship was.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not criticizing people for how they feel that ultimately ends up causing them to leave, in the spirit of the OP, I’m also curious from a ‘scientific’ point of view, what drives people, on forums in particular, to so frequently quit by doing the proverbial ‘table flip’ on the way out the door.

Calling people names and insulting them has never been the way to win an argument, thus I’m mostly just intrigued to know why people think it will work here. That’s all.

It is not the children who are to blame, but you, their parents.

You need to google who and when my quote was written

To be fair, it’s a pretty deep cut for your average gamer to pick up on.

I’m pretty well read and recognized it as a quote. But not from who, when, or where.

They are hoping in vain that if enough people post similar gripe posts, CCP may take notice and try to do something to change things.

Yeah, or they’re just really angry because the game literally gives us basically nothing to look forward to anymore and are growing tired of it. Every update many wait in dread wondering what they’re going to ruin next…that’s not a good feeling.

Would you agree that a lot of the things CCP has been touching in the last 2 years had gone out of control for a long time?

Being able to field 100s of supers without issues, inconsequential replacement and completely bonkers stockpiles. People grinding and grinding and grinding on a gargantuan scale affecting the economy, affecting plex prices and affecting normal players and newer ones.

Or do you think all was fine and nothing needed to happen.

Shhh. Just go back to krabbing. Imagine having an existensial feeling of dread from a vidya game ROFL.

Yea, or maybe just make calm rational posts instead of crying.

and when you come to terms that ccp can make that decision about THEIR game if they want to, maybe you’ll feel better about yourself, maybe not…

I wish I could get that feeling. I play all of these survival and horror games to try to get it back, and nothing really works anymore. Any time I turn the corner and there’s a player there, or some kind of monster jump scare happens, my reaction is basically “oh, I guess that can happen” and I’m just completely dead inside. Meanwhile, these people get it so easily, and I’m jealous. Someone warps a Venture into their belt and slightly bumps their ship, and it’s like an entire event to them.

Ahh I get what you are saying. I mean I guess I do the same thing when I’m hunting in low. I create an internal monologue and just have a blast.

Why? How does that change the the meaning of my response?

Do you bother responding with such nonesense?
