I have nothing against alpha free players. My god man, go walk a dog, get paid, and buy some omega. Stop trying to reinvent the game store catalog for your budget!
I’m at a point where I say “just max out everyones skills and make the whole thing free to play”. The intent of the whole skill thing is and has always been deliberate creation of difference, a “carrot to chase”.
But whatever man, everyone else seems to think about how unfair it is that someone paid a little extra for something. Under capitalism. Sigh.

That again. Look buddy, I am 43. You can imagine how many times I had that debate already. I have no issues with the game existing as-is and you paying for your subscription, as long as I don’t have one.
“I am at a point” means that I am no longer even considering that part of the equation. I was thinking about how any old guard always whines when new kids get some stuff for free because they didn’t. The free-to-play part is just what would be needed to make me check the game out again. I am at a point where all returns have diminished. So for me Omega is useless. Just more numbers that go up way to slowly to matter in the coming years, ever inching closer to other people’s numbers. But if you enjoy it… you do you.

And btw, I am 49, I did live in Socialism, believe me, it is far worse. You wouldn’t even have an EVE Online without capitalism.
