Gankers During High-Sec PVE missions?

If you are new and wondering what else is there aside from mission running and mining.. here..

There is literally a good 90+ careers and activities one can do. Some are very PVP. Other careers are not so demanding. And if you are still unsure. I would be remised in not recommending my alma mater Eve University. There are other corps that teach of course, but Eve University os the oldest teachie/learnie corp. They are the one that maintain the Eve Wiki pages.

Bring in people from around the game to talk about the differing careers and playstyles. Can get your feet wet in such activities as mining, exploration, how to fly in a fleet. Such as NPSI (Not Purple Shoot It) fleets to name just one.

There is no time limit as to how long you can stay. I was there for a good year and some. The classes are always informative and well worth sitting in. As you learn not just careers, but the mechanics of the game itself.

It could make the difference in rage/quitting and staying.

  1. Player count numbers go way up…

Having lost a few marauders, I can kind of see why they do it.

:joy:

This thread and your posts are anything but honest feedback. It is a rant and unwillingness to accept core nature of this game.

You have two choices:

  1. Stay in Exordioum, they created it especially for players like you.
  2. Go back to Minecraft.

This is legit advice because you are unwilling to accept the facts and learn the game.

EVE is a niche game. It is not for everyone. Not everyone has a mindset to handle it. You clearly don’'t. So stop trying to ruin this game by suggesting to gut core mechanics out of it just so you can handle it and find a game that doesn’t have full PvP and full loot. I can suggest Slay The Spire 2, I play that too. No evil gankers in there!

I already accounted for that, but don’t think the loss of interaction and loss of risk are worth it to me even if many more multibox miners were to replace the gankers that leave the game.

This isn’t just a numbers game where higher number is better.

I mainly play this game for the quality of gameplay, not just the quantity of other players. And the quantity of high sec players who wish to have no interaction with others frankly doesn’t matter much to me, even if this number were to be increased.

I am pretty sure it would skyrocket. AGs like you would announce it everywhere and tried to draft as many new players as possible so that first month would see massive PCU improvement so that you could leverage it as “ganking ruins this game and needs to be removed completely”. CCP will then comply. Then the game will slowly fade away without destruction in highsec, and EVE will soon be dead game. It is pretty obvious and it happened already in EVE Echoes.

More than 50% players lives in highsec and will never wander into low and null unless perhaps travel with BR, shuttle or pod. And removal of ganking won’t change that. They will not go into low or null just because suddenly they can afford it (as they are not losing ships to gankers anymore). With no destruction everything will soon cost peanuts because there will be insane offer but very little demand. And since ISK is fun, if players are not making any ISKs from mining and mission running they will quit.

This is so easy to predict, only AGs don’t see it. So either they are just that stupid, or their goal is to destroy this game. Possibly both.

Because it’s part of the game and the EVE economy need destructions.

What exactly does suck in HighSec?

You have close access to all market hubs. You are 99.9% safe from other players agression if you follow some very simple rules. You have an instant-local that warns you about possible threats early. You can make quite good amounts of money with very little effort. You can play alone or with friends. You can found your own little corporation and settle on a 100% safe NPC station that offers all basic services a small group needs.

If all that sucks so much, why are you there? You know, every other type of space is just a handful of jumps away…

Why am I there? Good question…

Well, if you play preferred solo AND find even HS not attractive, maybe ask yourself if EVE is the right game for you? No offense, but just staying because “you are here for so long already” is a classical sunken-cost-fallacy. You probably could have way more fun with some of the X-titles. No pressure, no sub, building your own space empire, totally solo… whats not to like if you basically want exactly that in EVE but can’t get it here?

It’s not that I necessarily prefer solo play - it just generally works out that way with my schedule. I probably play <1 hour a day at this point (and it’s not consistent).

Trust me - I’m not into the sunken-cost fallacy. If that were the case I’d have thrown in the towel long ago.

There are generally a lot of things I like about EVE - the art design, for example. There are also a lot of things I don’t like about EVE - like some of the hidden game mechanics.

Its a part of eve and adds spice to the game. I always have a backup ship ready to fall back on. Adapt and learn. You can spot them coming. Try running sites in a sleeper system to get some real experience in spotting probes.

I recently came back to the game and found high activity of gankers in high sec. But what surprised me the most now was that they are blowing up your packrats MTU’s now in massive numbers.

Here i was the previous day doing a mission and seeing a catalyst warp into my mission to blow it up and leave. Yep didn’t touch me, just wanted to blow up the MTU. Does Fenris Creations need to make a PVE server with different rules like other companies do.

Gankers pride themselves because they don’t have competition, They don’t want to pvp with another combat pilot because they will mostly get owned. Instead we see gankers posting up their ganking kills with such ego’s to call themselves Elite Pilots in forums.

Let alone it’s like they are doing a L5 mission without being ganked themselves in high sec. So who is going to gank them ?? Concord ? oh seriously after they have accumulated over 1 billion in 1 run. They say it’s part of EvE. I love EvE i really do, but it’s getting to the point where activity is becoming spoilt over stupidity.

I hope they do bring out a PvE server in future just like some other games have. Then what are gankers going to do then ? “oh hang mummy i lost my toy my gank toy, what do i do now and why can’t i bully someone anymore”.

C’mon Fenris bring out a PvE server. I bet your bottom dollar the economy will be as good as the current pve/pvp server. What are you afraid of.

No.

That would be a terrible idea, and only dilute the strength of EvE.

Nope it won’t, they will grow differently. If you have an open mind to things in this world you won’t be afraid of walking in the dark to make the game grow. Especially with today’s technology.

There are so many goals you can achieve, sync servers economically. Keep the pvp on one server and the pve on the other.

You ever wonder why they created Exordium ? does it not prove my point about Fenris needing to do something against gankers so they don’t loose beginners. It clearly shows it’s a big problem. It clearly showed that ganking in high sec was killing new players/growth. I mean what more do i got to say.

Just look at some of my forum posts and look how gankers respond to it seriously. They are just a bunch of kids crying over spilt milk. I thought adults grow intellectually but i’m seeing the reverse in older aged players. But then again i give massive credit to Albert Einstein, “Human stupidity is Infinite” .

The only reason why you was targeted by gankers is that your ship’s modules cost is high enough to cover the loss of “suicide bomber squad”.

BEST defense for hi-sec mission runner vs gankers is that you fly regular T2/meta fits without fancy faction modules. This is the ultimate truth gankers would NEVER reveal because if everyone start doing this - the whole gank “business” will dry out.

Also, you aren’t quite right about “warping to you in 1 minute”. I will explain:
to warp to any ship in space it needs to be scanned down first using “combat probes”, so if you’re checking your d-scan AND these combat probes are in your d-scan filter - this is the signal that someone is looking for yuo - expect guests soon and prepare to warp-out.

Peace!
PS: oh, also, about that MTU-hunting stuff.
The possibilities are many.
You can turn this situation in your advantage, like - DO AGGRESS on ship who is attacking your MTU, assuming you can kill it.
When the aggressor warp-out for reship to return with a “bigger gun” - uncloak your “friends” as he or she warp in and punish the abuser!
Of course, you need to fleet up with someone beforehand.
And of course, you can always use 2nd account on PVP-fitted ship (but since you’ve just started - it’s not really an option).

if it is a BS then put a signiture radius suppresor on it, my leshak has one and it is very useful, when passive reduces it by 10% when active it reduces it by 70% for about 12 seconds
