Perimeter is an exception…

Don’t try to compare 2 economically viable systems with the rest of highsec lol, it’s apples and pears

Not really the a good example, more like an exception. But can we assume that when you say “highsec is more dangerous than nullsec” that you only mean perimeter and some other handfull of exceptions and not the 1000 other system where nothing ever happens?
Not trying to jump on your back …
… unless you want to carry me around WOOHOO …
… but I actually believe the same thing.
In nullsec most people are surrounded by their friends.
In highsec most people are surrounded by strangers.
In nullsec you know that, whenever there’s someone non-blue around, he might shoot you.
In highsec you mostly don’t know who might want to shoot you.
Iirc CCP Dragon was who actually wrote that lowsec is more dangerous than highsec, and highsec is more dangerous than nullsec, but highsec and nullsec are relatively close.
ONWARD STEED, TO BATTLE!
What you describe is the outcome of a complicated mix of behaviour, expectation and risk management of players. That is to be expected. People simply behave differently in lowsec than they do in high, null or wormsec (lulz).
Still, when talking about how “dangerous” a place is we can’t just look at the outcome, we have to look at the setting. Nullsec is simply more dangerous because of the game mechanics making you a legal target for everyone everywhere.
Let me clearify what I mean. If you have a beach full of sharks, everyone knows it so they are very cautious and only swim with the necessary coast guards watching etc. Everything is under control and incidents are very rare. And now let’s say you compare that to swimming pools and look where more drunk people drown. Obviously you would conclude that a swimming pool is more dangerous than the beach full of sharks… Right?
Technically correct, but ignoring reality, because …
… a) nullsec is mostly empty.
… b) most people are around gold fish (blue), not sharks (non-blue).
In theory you are correct, but in practise you’re not.
Fact of the matter is that reality - ingame or not - is not theory. It’s practise.

He warped off with a sliver of hull left and ran into other corp members at the gate. I kind of felt bad afterwards to tell the truth.
@Sepheir_Sepheron I found a solution.
Webifiers.
I tested this technique out on a random charon pilot and I must say, it is extremely satisfying to see a freighter enter warp in about three seconds - maybe less depending on the freighter.
Now - has ganking actually gotten too far? This depends if by “too far” it means that too many freighters are being destroyed. How many is too many? Think of it like a chance of getting ganked per system. If the chance is 1/1,000,000 for 0.6+ systems and 1/100 for 0.5 trade route systems, then that’s quite normal. Should the chance of getting ganked in a 0.5 trade route system reach 10% then there is a problem for the freighter pilots - about 9% of all freighters passing through system will get destroyed and it could be higher than 9% if gank ships are on standby.
Ganking has an upside though - risk. This makes New Eden incredibly dynamic. And like ganking provides a challenge, webified-assisted warp can challenge the gankers.

Is it fun being obtuse and intentionally talking past someone’s point?
Also, posting at great length in every thread on the forum? Is that fulfilling?
Ganking has gone too far, why, because someones fun ruined CCPs bussines.
Testing has shown that toxic poisoning of dysfunctional individuals is badly affecting the retention of new players in the game.
Which must be why CCP banned your alt from posting.
not only one, not only one,
banned several of my accounts
This thread was never about freighters or overpacked industrials. I made it to address the tech I cruises being suicided on random for lols.
Welcome to the forums, where people decide what threads are about 20 posts in
You can thank all of the anti-ganking community for making your thread one about freighter ganking (that’s pretty much the only thank you they’ll get )
Bwahahaha! Whiney carebears will NEVER be able to enjoy this game, but I do like it when they anxiously await Superman to come save them. We’ve been through this before, and it was awesome.
I enjoyed my game session (on a dedicated alt) quite nicely in Niarja today. That bowhead was tasty.
(My mistake, the bowhead was in Mad)
Show the results please.
Why, what you can do about it ? You can only comment just like me.
CCP know about that and it is his responsibility to react.
PA is in charge now and they see where the problem lies. Testing has shown that hysterical space bears need their income nerfing if they are to gain access to income without risk. I don’t have to provide specific evidence because something something CCP something PA something about no more easy living on an island
Can we get a lock on this badboy?
Making unfounded claims. Good. Troll confirmed.
