- Can we get a proper downvote system? (the emojis are cute - but not really what we need)
- Can we stop weaponizing the forums? (this whole flag/remove post abuse is getting tiresome)
I had some issues with COSMOS missions in the recent past. While GM gave their best to help me and restart the affected mission, they were unable to do so after 2-3 attempts. The backend GM tools simply couldn’t do it. My question is: When can we expect FC to start supporting and maintaining features of the game?
they’ve mentioned several times that they no longer do support COSMOS. as its among the oldest code in game.
These forums have been a single minded echo chamber of just a handful of regular forum warriors and as such are abandoned by the vast majority of the community (in recent months, me included… I wouldn’t even know about this thread if it wasn’t posted on Reddit). While Reddit has its own quirks and the community there is far from perfectly representing the player base, it’s much better than these forums and has more players following it.
It’s just logical to communicate with the players on a platform that has more players following it.
@Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras Thank you - much appreciated!
I agree @Arthur_Aihaken , except for the fact that emojis are ‘cute’, they are useful sometimes, yes but not cute, and I don’t like to use them on the most part.
That’s not really an answer. They are doing Python 3 transition right now. There are just a couple of missions that are affected that can easily be re-implemented because they are simple “warp there, shoot rats, loot stuff” missions.
So my question still stands.
On the other hand, as a software product: You either maintain support for the features, or you remove them. Leaving users deal with the bugged state of the application with “it’s old so we don’t care, just don’t use it” is simply irresponsible and immature.
Any plans on revisiting the COSMOS mission, or if that is not possible removing them and putting something else in its place?
“remove them” if thats easy, why do we still have POS’s that were supposed to be removed like a decade ago.. because shits not easy to remove probably.
My question still stands and I’m not expecting the answer from you.
The question is for GMs abot the state of their tooling that supports the game.
Could you clarify the situations in which RMT is okay? You used to have a crystal-clear zero-tolerance policy, but as of late it seems the definition of zero may have changed over in Iceland.
According to some, Coding is easy. Glad someone knows it isnt ![]()
With the addition of cradle of war, are there any plans to use these freelance job templates for extra pve content? As in an alternative to missions or replacement for COSMOS missions?
How is this statement of yours compatible with the fact that streamers blatantly selling in-game assets for thousands of dollars, live on stream, get away with a couple of days off?
On a similar note, is the rate of <50 seconds temp-ban per dollar made the new generally accepted punishment for RMT sellers overall, or does that only apply past a certain subscriber count? If so, how many subscribers and which platforms count?
fix your link. first off..
second.. i don’t like the excuse that it was a gift giveaway policy violation and not the RMT one..
It is, if you know what you’re doing. I’ve been doing it as a profession for about 20 years.
As a now Wormholer but former Nullseccer, I’ve pondered a few ideas for some time now about ways to “shake the boat” as the reason I left Nullsec was due to the very unchanging nature of things.
I know “black out” null threatened too much instability and problems, but I’ve brought up the idea to corpmates about the idea of either:
- Local being a sov upgrade that could be attacked.
- A local jammer that could either be lightyear range, or constellation range. (Or heck, maybe even system range.)
Both of these make it so local, which is very much loved by nullblocs, is still vital, but becomes part of the gameplay, as well as making sense even in a lore way. (aka CONCORD announces no longer maintaining Null local nodes, citing “wasted costs” as they manage Jita/other problems)
Also had an idea for some sort of “wormhole sov” but it would be more like “sov lite”. Make it so folks don’t have to put a POS at every moon.
That would make it harder to evict, but in this case, you add a module that can artificially lengthen the time on a hole via fuel in the module, essentially elongating wormhole stability.
Both of these ideas could also be turned into a new isk sink since that is always something that feels needed to help combat inflation.
Thanks for so many amazing years.

Is it possible to get the MOOtivation Twitch badge again? I missed out on it the first time it dropped and want to represent EVE with a cow… I’m not asking for much, am I?
Have you got any ideas about how to fix the highsec Wardec/HQ situation? There seems to be a lot of QQing about it in the forum.
