Rogue Swarm event (officially Rogue Swarm Alert)
Thatâs the one
Youâre missing the point here, the average alpha will simply not just right-click randoms to form fleets and trust their loot to strangers. If this game wants random alphaâs to coop it simply needs a way better match-making system. In the Agency menu, for instance, there should be an option to join or create a fleet for a particular event.
No you.
They are not a species. They donât have built in restrictions on their social skills, ability to talk, interact or play games with other human beings. Maybe you do, but it is not because you are an Alpha.
You think paying CCP ÂŁ10 a month somehow makes you more capable of forming a fleet in EVE? You know itâs not an Omega skill, right?
More excuses and blame shifting. As someone who forms fleets with Rookies every week to help them with content after they asked for help with that content, donât ask me to agree with you that this canât be done.
Fleets exist for a reason. Local chat exists for a reason. Corps exist for a reason.
I get that you have that âfirst day of school, donât know anyoneâ thing going on, but you need to HTFU and get over it. The game is full of other human beings you can interact with and just because you canât one click a button and have a fleet insta-formed for you, doesnât mean it canât be done.
Making friends, forming fleets, joining Corps, these things are on you. This is not an EVE only thing. Iâve played several other MMOâs that had no LFG functionality at all, itâs somewhat of a modern luxury but not one that should be taken for granted. Too much like protesting that you simply cannot learn anything without Google, when billions of people managed perfectly fine with books in libraries for decades before.
This is all about whether you decide that you can, or that you cannot.
Whichever you pick is going to become the reality for you.
Your whole argument is based on the bold section of your statement which places that in a different context compared to what heâs talking about. Besides that, he also has a good point since the main meme of Eve is âTrust Nobodyâ.
By the way, how about taking the hostility down a couple of notches, no need to be so aggressive and personal about it.
He canât ask? How does pretending that he is somehow incapable of asking for help like dozens of other Alphas do every day going to help anything?
Ridiculous.
His entire argument is based on countless lies. That it is simply not possible to group up, adapt tactics, change ships, learn skills, retrieve drones ⌠you name it.
The last thing we need is a deluded white knight jumping in to hold his hand and tell him how right he is about how itâs all the fault of the big bad nasty game and nothing to do with him at all.
Also ridiculous. Nothing aggressive, certainly nothing personal. The advice given is the correct advice and the advice needed, nothing more, nothing less. If not coating it in icing sugar and sprinkles makes you consider it as aggressive and personal, thatâs your problem I am afraid.
Heh, thanks for proving youâre not only overly aggressive and hostile, youâre also self righteous and pretentious as well.
If you ignore the 2 or so bill in stuff to sell you will inherit getting the 700 points.
Yeah, sure.
You see, this is personal.
How ironic.
You have not even given any advice to the person concerned yourself, which at the end of the day is all you need to do. Far more constructive and helpful than hanging around trying to pick holes in other peoples advice.
Trolling comments and being malicious just because you can doesnât exactly make you the better person or give you the moral high ground, quite the opposite.
You need to take a good long look in the mirror.
You have no room to talk. Also itâs not personal, just an astute observation of your reply towards both Lord Rolfski and myself.
Funny because you appear to be 3rd on the list of people who have liked my comments the most on these forums.
Suddenly because you donât like one itâs okay to become personal and insulting and start an argument that presumably you will be happy to continue all day long no matter how much it derails this thread.
All this without contributing anything helpful yourself.
I am in Rookie Help right now being thanked by multiple people for the answers I have given them including this one just a moment ago: âahh nice! ty guys!!! loving this communityâ
⌠and then here you are, trolling, baiting, spouting bile and being nasty on the forums.
Good job, well done, go you.
We really need more people like you and less like me!
Iâve had two in a row.
May RNJEsus and the loot gods bless you my child.
Your character is over a year old and you never bothered answering these questions yourself. And taking a break from the game is no excuse to lack of research.
- you form a fleet with CORP mates, not strangers⌠if you donât trust them, why are you in the corp?
- There is a loot log history, everything that is looted by your fleet will be logged.
- You either loot everything yourself, or designate certain people to loot.
- Anyone that loots and doesnât turn it in can be reported to directors, or if applicable, popped on site (check with corp for permission to do so)
- Log is available to whole fleet, so everyone knows what has been picked up and what they can expect to make from helping YOU do the content.
If this is too hard, then eve is too hard. Iâm not going to sugar coat it, itâs that bloody simple.
I highly doubt Iâm 3rd on the list of people who have given out likes to your replies. If so then I definitely need to watch that.
For the meat of this stupid convo, I never said the advice you gave was incorrect nor did I agree with anybody. I merely pointed out that your personal experience of easily forming fleets with other players was based on new players first asking you for help. That basically put it in a different context than what he was talking about. However the overall tone of your reply was definitely aggressive and hostile.
I politely asked you to tone the aggressive hostility down a few notches but instead you decided to deny it, then escalate and direct it to me.
All the ranting and posturing included in the rest of the post definitely sounded like self righteous pretentious ravings so I included that as well. Hell, if you think my replies are trolling then your replies are definitely demeaning and flaming.
From now on just do flagging.
Mine?
Haha
I believe I mentioned a mirror earlier?
Confirmed.
Continuing to do this. The latest one: âThanks Sindara TâSoni, you are a star!â
I could start including screenshots if you like?
In stark contrast you appear to have spent the last hour and a half trying to come up with more ways to do nothing more useful than this:
Good job, again.
By all means continue.
You are a true asset to the community!
Again, this discussion is not about me or that forming fleets & sharing loot canât be possible: Itâs about the in-game reality that the far majority of non-player corp players simply canât be bothered with this, because CCP does a horrible job of making randoms play with each other. If CCP would present statistics about how many of these solo PVE oriented players would actually form up fleets and organize loot distribution around these events, I can guarantee you the figures would be laughable.
A simple âjoin fleetâ button at the event screen, that also takes care of loot distribution, would go a long way of improving one of the biggest problems of this game: People uninstalling before they ever get to really play with others.
Ah. So you are the voice for the silent majority⌠yet if they are silent how are you knowing what they want.
Eve is not and hopefully never will be a game where you can roll for loot. You have to actually talk to people and make a deal.
That was not always the case. Serpentis had event when everyone who was in a site got points for completion. Shadow of the Serpent.
For the damage, maybe you could assign the drones?
So youâre basically saying this game shouldnât have decent PVE (which requires a loot system) to begin with. Hate to tell it to you but without PVE and its loot system this game would be long dead already.
PVE is key to attract new players long enough to make them move up to coop and eventually to PVP. Itâs just a shame that it took CCP more than a decade to figure this out and even now theyâre doing a mediocre job at it. This event, unfortunately, being a good example.
Uh wtf?
You really are reaching here. You donât need to roll for loot to have a loot system. And you donât need to roll for loot to have PvE.
Seriously, the issue here is you & your attitude. Weâve given you a whole list of solutions to your issue in this thread and you just keep complaining that you canât solo the sites. Itâs clearly about you because you have no idea what other people have been doing since you canât find a friend the way you keep complaining.
