This is my “how to fund a niche game” idea. We already have a great character creator. 2 person pods (an Omega feature) are all we need to bring in millions of ERP players who never even undock!

Nah, from what I understand Space Force is the replacement for Air Force Space Command which dates back to the early '80’s.
Star Trek itself dates back to 1966.
Personally, I think the “Space Force” shoulda gone to the Navy. I may be biased in that regard.

You’re not wrong though, sci-fi regularly depicts the space going equivalent of carriers and ship classes are generally based on naval terms.

I was mistaken in my original statement. The modern Starfleet logo was created in 1996.
Following CCP, you are exactly that kind of player that they do care about.
Their last statement said that about 90% of new player quit EVE after a week of playing.
What you are experiencing here is a taste of the EVE community.
If you are not lucky and find one of the nice persons in game to answer your questions you will end up in the forum and become food for the trolls.
- People not answering your questions but telling you that you should not ask questions as a new player.
- People giving you information that is false. Maybe they do not know better, but the information still keeps false.
- People recommending to quit EVE immediately to try out another game.
That is EVE community.
Enduring this kind of community is part of the game so do not give up to early.
There are different help channels in chat. I never used them but maybe you want to give it a try.

I think that the rest of my fellow forum trollers goers have managed to get the point across that some of the features you want don’t really fit into Eve. I’ll add an additional point: lore is nice, but should always take a backseat to gameplay if the two should conflict. Imagine how annoying it would be if you tried to warp somewhere and got a message saying “You know that thing you’re trying to warp to? Well way out in space where you can’t see there’s a planet in the way so you can’t do that. Hope you didn’t need to warp urgently.” So our ships can warp through planets and CCP writes into the lore that warp drives do some phase-shifting mumbo jumbo and poof planets are no longer an obstacle.
In the future, I recommend trying to understand a system better before you start criticizing it. Something along the lines of “Hey guys, I think it would be really cool if we could fly between systems by using warp drives, can you help me understand why that’s not in the game?” will probably be better-received than “Why can’t I warp between systems? This is non-sense.”
As a space game, Eve is pretty horrible. The only salvation is Eve’s community and the stories they create. However, this has been in general decline for a long time.

He got trolled because he complained about EVE in GD.
If he asked genuine questions, without complaining, in NCQA he would have been helped
