A ship that is in hisec needs to be able to be taken down by a reasonable amount of gankers. Because of their hp, they are able to survive a ton of gankers. And you want them to be on par with dedicated mining barges?

Not so long ago they where both just support ships that did not mine very well, they basically had the exact same role (staying at a safe spot buffing/supporting a fleet.
Now they both need to be on grid with the fleet to buff/support.
They are now longer just support ships they are industrial command ships but they no longer have the same role as only the brother got the big mining bonus.
Little brother and tiny brother for that matter should be good at mining to.
Also both little brothers can enter low and nul sec space, they are not high sec only ships.

They won’t in real application. If I am at zero all the time on every roid then yes, but that is absurd.
Because they are the top end ship for hisec. However people do use them in lowsec and nullsec, and better yield would help them too.

Some people have suggested it across the game as a whole, in one way it would be interesting, but in another it would just result in a no game which means new players would be screwed.

In terms of the Orca this is certainly in my list of nice to have in that it would improve my game play a bit. I don’t understand why players who don’t even mine get so emotional about it.
I have not logged in and done anything since Thursday even though I have made about 83.33% of the Capital parts needed for my Nidhoggur. I am actually debating just buying the minerals, but that is kinda meh. The Nidhoggur is to do something suicidal…, just to see if it could be done. Anyway perhaps in a day or two I can push myself to get mining again.
The best way to mine in highsec is stealing it from jetcan miners. You absolutely can not beat that ore/hr. There’s simply nothing comparable to just letting someone else work for it and then taking it for yourself, because he was too dumb, or careless, to keep it safe from others.
You should move around more, because there’s plenty of full belts in highsec.
You still haven’t learned what projection actually is, or how to spot it.

I did, I think Rorquals are not something that should be in hisec and I then made a case for a buff to the Orca. Of course others have a different view. I am as far from a SJW as you can get.

In terms of ganking, if I decided to go after someone for strategic reasons in game I would gank them, scam them etc. Ganking is not really something that appeals to me as such unless it is a means to an end.
If I was to do it I would use Lucas, but he is not thrasher trained and I have Dracvlad doing T2 large Precursor and then I have to do some Indy training on another character which is very high priority for me. This is the type of issue that many ignore.

But they don’t need to be better than a dedicated mining ship, which they currently seem to be since people use them for solo mining.
That’s a problem in my opinion.

But the Rorq have become the best mining ship in game 5+ X better than a Hulk (dedicated mining ship) as you call them.
But that’s ok because you have a Rorq.
