High sec pvp is great, bot users are trash who are actively destroying the game.
Youâre right. Bots and bot-aspirants are trash, and suicide gankers are their worst nightmare.
This. Plus, while getting ganked may suck, people need to remember that hisec may be safer, itâs not SAFE.
The problem isnât with suicide gankers or so-called âpiratesâ but with CCP giving players the impression that High Sec is perfectly safe and not safer than, say, low-sec.
Iâll have to roll a new character to rerun the tutorial and see if itâs explained there or not. Either way, gankers that take out bots are âdoing the lords work.â

Correct. This is why CODE. and their campaign to purge EVE of bots and bot-like players are so important. Iâm glad you agree with me on the need to have lots of suicide ganking. What do you think about restoring insurance payouts on ships lost to CONCORD, to encourage more anti-bot operations by our heroes?
TLDR: Youâre the president of this forum thread, because you donât know what youâre talking about and are spreading misinformation.
First, most botters try not to draw attention to themselves, because player reports are often the first step to them getting banned. This is one of the reasons that they are so active in low traffic, NS systems. I mean, if you were going to bot, why would you engage in an activity that already results in an inordinate amount of (usually unjustified) player reports (see your own post for a citation)?
Second, people with really crappy execution tend to accuse multiboxers of using macros/bots for no other reason than they canât understand how someone can control so many characters at once. The truth of the matter, however, is that if they had better execution, they wouldnât be so skeptical of other peopleâs ability. So let me break it down for you. Multiboxers do things like learn their hotkeys, adjust their huds and window placements smartly in order to minimize mouse movements, and practice a lot in order to get fast. Take Jason Kusion, for example. He often gets accused of being a bot, but you can actually find videos of his ganks. Looks like heâs actually controlling those toons to me. Maybe you should step up your game.
Third, a lot of gankers do indeed multibox, but you might be surprised at how many people participate in gank fleets. Nullbloc ganking sigs, for example, can easily put together large ganking fleets made up mostly of unique players.
And just in case you ever decide to make a âhow to fix ganking thread,â I suggest you go out and get some actual experience with the activity first. In the meantime, stop spreading misinformation.
Oh, and good job on wasting CCPâs time. How many confirmation emails have you gotten about your ganking bot reports?
I like encouraging anti bot behavior, but I worry that this would lower the risk reward ratio and be an incentive to gank non botters as well. Iâm not avocation making hisec safe, but Iâm not sure I want to up the danger level there either.
No.
Actually, there shouldnât be any insurance, as far as I know you canât get your house insured against war damage.
Heroes in a game, heard it all now.
Yeah, they should get rid of insurance completely, itâs completely unnecessary. Pretty much pointless for navy/pirate and T2 /T3 ships anyway.

Yeah, that was just a mocking poke at this monthâs designated highsec anti-PvP troll, pointing out that their supposed opposition to botting is just the latest excuse for why ganking/wars/etc need to be removed. Itâs really yet another case of âlet me farm 23/7 with no riskâ, even if they wonât admit it.
Not going to lie, I like relaxing while I run missions. But eve is what it is and I donât want the nature of hisec to change. After I got hit onece, I learned to orbit my MTU close enough to empty it regularly instead of at 120km. Even though itâs hisec i try to always stay aligned because a raven ainât no getaway car lol. Iâm not LIKELY to get popped in hisec but it can happen. I think itâs just the right amount of risk, and the right amount of reward for low risk activity. I donât see what there is to complain about in hisec.

As long as it doesnât smell like Gwynneth Paltrowâs candleâŚ
CODE are amusing, not that they actually focus on bots - they attack âbot aspirantsâ ships in their words (in reality soft targets) - the folks doing repetitive tasks or freighters moving goods across the galaxy in poorly fitted vessels stuffed with cargo candy. If they actually sought out bot fleets, well thatâd be cool. But itâs Eve, ganks happen.
Really, if you fly anything half-way decent fit, theyâre never a problem â that and not fitting a fat marauder in LS for PVE with no top cover, thatâs the kind of prey that attracts attention.
The same applies here as IRL, make yourself a hard target and those that prey on the vulnerable, confused or lost will look for something easier.
Thanks for clarification, wanted to know if it was used bath water, or a prefab mix I pour into my own. Is it safe to mix with Bubble Bath?
