The highsec pirates are a part of the game. You are meant to take care of yourself. Protect yourself. Survive on your own. CONCORD is just there to make sure you get enough time. This game is not what you think it is, because those pirates belong here. Theyâre also a sort of genetic filter, who help ridding the game of people who canât cut it. People like yourself and your, most likely, equally disadvantaged friends.
Liar.
Theyâre also much closer to combat flight sim, completely different style of game. Not a good replacement for someone who wants to play eve.
Curious. What is a good replacement for EVE? I ask, because as far as I know thereâs nothing like it out there, thus itâs irreplacable.
Part of being a bot user is entitled arrogance. Theyâve gotten away with it for this long, replacing their losses is a matter of setting up more bots through a vpn, so there is no downside to âdrawing attentionâ, with the human population lower than ever ccp is forced to tolerate more and more bots just to make the game look like something other than a ghosttown.
When code actively launches a campaign targetting the bot fleets vacuuming up null in thier rorqs, it might give the impression that they were actually anti bot. In reality they rely on bots, so I canât see them ever launching a campaign like that, beyond the said reliance on bots, the players controlling them are way too cowardly to piss off the nullsec bot alliances.
Until then, theyâll be hunting ventures, corvettes, and t1 haulers in high sec.
Why would we attack our own rorquals?
That doesnât even make any sense. How can CODE. simultaneously be the nullsec bot alliances and be afraid of the nullsec bot alliances?
There is none that I know of, I agree with you
Who needs logic when you have a bot up your arse and a tinfoil mankini?
Excuse me but the author of this very thread you are speaking in just lost two Paladins to them. I donât see Paladins on your list?
Well, unless you think CCP is lying to our faces, most botting is done in the service of RMT.
The downside is the loss of remaining omega days, isk, assets, and skills. Iâm sure many bots try to use character builds that require as few omega skills as possible (easier to spin up replacement characters and smaller loss of skill points), but that doesnât mean that losing a 5 or 6 million SP character is a trivial loss. Iâm sure even training up a bare minimum skill alt takes at least a couple of months to train as an alpha (or a large isk investment). And it also requires almost daily attention in order to keep the skill queue topped off. Obviously, their losses arenât sufficient enough to stop botting in their tracks, but I seriously doubt that botters donât care, especially when the identification of one bot can lead to entire groups of bots getting taken down. In fact, anti-botting measures can be so effective that it can incentivize botters to switch focus to account hacking or RMTâing in other games.
Holy crap. First, unless you think CCP has been lying to our faces, they have been hard at work combating botting, and they have been quite successful at it as well. And on top of that, this idea that CCP would be incentivized to allow bots to persist is both unsubstantiated and illogical. Not only is there no evidence to support this claim, but cheating IS extremely detrimental to player retention. Botters and cheaters hurt player populations, not help it. Players typically donât like competing against cheaters, nor do the like dealing with the financial repercussions (i.e. in game inflation and lowered isk efficiencies) of their industrial scale operations. I mean, itâs the reason why you hear about stuff like Blizzard slapping million dollar lawsuits on the authors of botting programs.
Jesus. You are so infuriating. How are you so obstinate?
Look, you made the claim. Provide evidence or STFU.
Again, none of that is a loss, because it was all free to begin with. Bot generated isk buys omega, subsequent bans donât result in a loss of total isk, because itâs all free being generated while people go about their day. (1) Confession of a botmaker : Eve
there is no bots in eve online
Bot accounts have the same overall metrics as addicted accounts, besides the actual money that real addicts spend, so on paper, CCP has a hard time telling the difference between an addict with 12 subscribed alts and a bot network until credit card info gets analyzed.
Oh really?
According to CCP and their fanboys Eve is plagued by tonâs of bots.

Allow me to introduce you to the concept of opportunity cost.
PS: still not seeing any proof of your claim that suicide gankers are botting.
