Oh, but I don’t. Sure, it’s annoying, but I’m smart enough to not fly ships I can’t afford to replace in case I do get ganked, and I do try to pay attention. But you are entitled to your opinion.
We don’t like you, hun.
Using Killrights is the meanest, griefiest way of killing someone.
Imagine sitting in your shiny new mining-barge and suddenly you hear this shocking sound, like if someone tased you, just to see a killright has been activated on you.
And then you get jumped. By several ships. And they kill you.
I can’t think of anything that is closer to griefing than that.
Because, and that i am sure of, you enjoy it, because you have the oppinion, this person deserved it, as it had a Killright on itself.
And you feel like some avenger, that brings justice by griefing this person.
THat is absolutely disgusting and CCP must nerf it.
Happily for you, this forum comes equipped with a Mute option.
Now it doesn’t work in a gank but at least you don’t have to read about it
Tell that to my poor Navy Osprey, tackled by the very rats I was trying to save the other day when I tried to kill a ratter. Ungrateful bastards.
Who creates the whinepost on the forums, the ganked or ganker?
Indeed , 7 of them gang banged that defenseless miner. And they have the cheek to call gankers devils?
Who knows…? Y’all alts to me.
I have come to the conclusion that an endless futile argument over ganking, and having to spend eternity explaining ganking to anti gankers who actually have no idea about it, must be level 9 of Dante’s hell.
Which explains why anti gankers like NEPF are comedy gold.
yeah kill a pod you probly have it coming but how do you define ganking
but the pod they killed could have been a troll or somthing I dought it but still
Fun story , guy with 3 nandos sitting on a gate just outside jita , all his ships had kr on them , we put a small team together and killed them all .
Really the best part was the salt after , he accused us of grieffing him , went on and on about spoiling his game .
it upset him loads when I said he is like the afk haulers and miners he prays on to us .
Kill rights are a great part of the game and with the changes to ganking are all the more important if people use them correctly.
Thrashers huh?
I guess I’ve been doing wrong all these years.
Do you have a screenshot of that salty chat log? I’d love to read it.
In Highsec, they’re used almost exclusively on gates, where a bit of shield is necessary to tank the gate guns while you work.
Happy to be corrected if wrong, it’s not really my ship of choice, despite heavy Minmatar leanings… (Think I’m right though).
I’ll look for it when I have time but It was a while ago
You sure love to tell old stories over and over.
No I’ve never told that one before , your thinking of the bumping of tether that happened to be 3 tornados too but not the same guy, maybe 3 nandos is a good number to gank with and he was flashing red , back when you could be that .
So not a kr story
Your right , I myself have spent many hours explaining ganking to people who wish to help , the worst are the oh look at me the big I am from null who turn up in a bling battleship, you know the type the F1 monkey and the one’s who bash defenseless citadels in large fleets , the elite of eve PvP
Yes of course we enjoyed it , we got given the kill right to hunt that person down , the guy who this person killed got a mail saying we completed our mission and got a bit of vengeance for him , I can’t see your problem with this really.
If you think about it, most folks judge an action purely on its own apparent merits (or lack of them). Perhaps they’re often right to do so.
A woman escorts someone across a busy road - we smile and coo at her generous spirit.
If, however, she roughly handles the person while performing that same activity, we may frown and purse our lips in disapproval, imagining all sorts of dark things - except the existence of a relatively minor medical emergency necessitating their speedy and immediate return home.
Actions should be judged by their intentions (if at all).
The hapless miner wishes cancer, death and disaster upon the ganker (and their family too, usually) without bothering to inquire into the motivation for the gank.
The ‘Why Was I Ganked?’ in-game channel crystallizes this very notion. The Gankee cannot accept ‘Gain, Profit, Fun’ as motives but has no problem with 'Grief, Tears, Salt, etc.
Lol…it’s entirely up to the defender how much defense they put in. There is thus no such intrinsic thing as a ‘defenseless citadel’. Some are by no means defenseless…others, well, they deserve to get blown up just as much as some hauler with no tank.
How’s the elite anti-ganking going ? Must be hard work scoring the final 1% of DPS after Concord have done 99% of the work.
