Tbh I wondered from day one why EVE hasn’t an internal Kill Database based on the functionality that zKill for example offers.
Realtime anonymeous statistics about Kills in each system, specifics hidden unless either victor or victim “opt in” for automatic upload. Just like zKill works.
I regularly post pvp advice from this character with no zkill.
No-one has called me out for it, yet. I believe this is because the advice I offer is good advice.
The headline stats on zkill aren’t a very reliable indicator of pvp skill. There are F1 monkeys in the major alliances with tens of thousands of kills because they know enough to anchor up and follow broadcasts.
Looking at the top ships used is very useful. If all you see are mainline dps ships, that tells you something. If you see a lot of tackle frigates, that tells you something else.
And it’s all moot because of the aforementioned wide use of alts.
We still have skills, level, builds, etc. that make a big difference. You are required to be level 50 or better to PvP. You could still fight and surprise a player. But fighting an unarmed player? Well you might as well say, drowning kittens makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I worked all my characters up from zero to 49, then the game asks ( more like warns you ) that should you manually level up to 50 you enter open world PvP. Otherwise you can - and some people do - remain level 49 forever. I worked all my characters on Guild Wars too, although the level cap has nothing to do with PvP. The game was never designed for open world PvP. When they made Factions it presented cooperative PvP teams. There are 2 tribes and my guild joined the Luxon faction in the Jade Sea. The Kurzick faction is a bunch of tree huggers in a stone forest we fight them regularly.
I can’t help who bought this game, yes they have differences, but I am speaking from my PvP experience. This game has issues. Currently the poll would indicate that over half the population does more PvE than PvP. I am glad you enjoy your PvP. Eve Online doesn’t have it for me.
No, or can you tell via the ingame map how many ships were killed in Penirgman last week? How many are killed on average per day in a system? Details [killmails] for a large percentage of them that identify attackers and victims if one of them chose to make the kill public?
Yes, I understand you are Wil Smith shooting little Tiffany between the eyes because you suspect she is up to no good. However the vast majority of venture kills are done in gas and ore sites. They do this because they are easy prey, they want the PvP score, quick and simple win. Swatting flies is no challenge. Where is the challenge in this activity? This game lures players here with adverts of “Free to Play”, but the reality is they will be the reward system for others to kill them. I am not the one who made this game “Free to Play”, neither did you. If I ever take part in PvP here, it will more likely be at one of those user generated FFA events I mentioned in post #66 above. I sure won’t be chasing down some new miner blasting on them in a battle cruiser.
Please do not speak to me.
I have already blocked you several times.
It is a violation of the EULA to make new accounts to evade a block.
I have now asked you fifteen (15) times.
