Howling Interdictors Update - Now Live on Singularity for Testing

So… Can we expect more effects for the combat Ceptors?

“Including” a 100% bonus on overheating prop-mod sounds like more is comming.

You didn’t even check before posting, did you?

Aurora said this is probably just poor copy writing, but she is double checking.

@Arrendis @Tipa_Riot
The new charge is not usable in lowsec, so it should not be considered for lowsec fleet impacts.

Because it uses the same interdiction sphere launcher module it cannot be used in lowsec (because the module simply cannot be activated in lowsec).

Obviously, but that doesn’t impact whether or not a new niche role in lowsec would constitute ‘bringing more value’. Just because a thing is not currently happening, that does not mean we cannot discuss ‘would this be a useful thing for CCP to consider?’

Ah, I missed the original quote being replied to. Carry on!

It’s much more likely the FC said

and here’s me hoping the second role bonus of the heretic stays intact (dps)

I’ve confirmed this and clarified the wording a bit to make it not sound like there might be additional bonuses coming as well.

The update to Combat Interceptors will see the Claw, Crusader, Taranis, and Raptor receive a 100% bonus added to the benefits of overheating Afterburners and Microwarpdrives.

Dammit, It’s on auto repeat lol

What if FC rather calls “Bring STUBBELS!” Stasis bubbles
Then it doesn’t sound like he bit his tongue and can’t speak xD

I’m pretty sure FCs trying to say “bubble wubble” seriously mid fleet might break EVE

any concerns with the wubble allowing entire fleets of caps to instantly catch faster align times?

Naaaah. I mean, Lazarus Telraven single-handedly made “florp” a part of the nullsec lexicon just by talking too fast when saying “Take fleet warp”.

That’d get tricky. Anyone who’s webbed caps or freighters into warp enough times knows that if you go too soon, you cut down the overall acceleration. Trying to do that with a whole fleet of caps is just asking to get stragglers left behind to get caught.

And let’s face it, the amount of time it takes cap fleets to align means by the time those stragglers won’t get caught, everyone else is already at full speed and getting annoyed.

“wubble” and “bubble” are too phonetically close to each other, that it’d get confusing, especially if the FC’s mic is low quality. as a line member, i’d prefer two distinct sounding commands. an FC shouting “bubble bubble bubble”, and “wubble wubble wubble” sounds really close.

like “florp” doesn’t really sound like anything else in EVE Online, so even if it does sound silly, i’d know it distinctly refers to “fleet warp”

of course, i could just fly mainline dps or logi and not have to worry about it at all since it’d only be an issue for dictor pilots to deal with, lol

That just sounds like fun, FC said Jump right?

Yeah. Horrible resist nerf, now this. Solo pvp is unwanted, I got it…

All the wubble/webble debate going on but they’re not bubbles. They’re more like command bursts, so I propose we call them winks

Please tell me everyone is going to be solo roaming in taranis now

So I’ve put a fair bit of thought into it, and FULLY admit I’ve pretty much won Eve at this point, but…

Here me out!

The basic problem of the Eris is it has no role to fill that three other ships at least don’t do, and do better and (usually)cheaper.

Cormorant, catalyst and hecate are all either flat out better at the pew pew of small hybrids*, or else far cheaper for comparable performance.

Every other dic does the job better.

There isn’t really a way to ‘make’ the Eris desirable compared to its contemporaries.

The fix, with the introduction of Wubbles, is therefore simple. Give two dic’s a bonus to bubbles and the other two a bonus to wubbles. Range, reload, fitting, idk what for sure, I’ll let other people argue over that.
