I'm qutting

Okay so you’ve never lost any ships? What would you do if you were consistently losing ships to “ganking”??? I mean ganking in this game is piracy nothing more. You my friend may have slipped through the cracks, be in a huge corporation that protects you from outside threats, or possibly have a ton of friends who can aid you. There is a variety of factors you arent specifying in your “nonsense” speech that makes to me what you say, seem flawed given EVEs reputation for ganking and piracy against industrial players. She is a relatively newcomer who just wanted to jump into a PvE friendly game that is more PvP than anything and that doesnt always work out the best. And where as I offered helpful alternatives, I still fail to see how you’ve contributed to this entire conversation other than attacking someone elses post. I offered constructive criticism and an alternative game I think the OP may enjoy, what have you offered?

If this is the reason you quit, then I don’t even why you started playing this game in the first place! The things that made you quit are those that make EVE very unique and fun. Don’t worry, EVE is here to stay. Many have quit after whining about the same meow meow meow ganking tears! But They always return! You too. You will come back some day. Even after years. Why? Because you are NOT Special.

BTW you’re permaDec’d by DRAMA CENTRAL for quitting.

THIS IS EVE!

Jokes on you people.
Its over!

Not a single F**k given

Eve suites a lot of personality types,… just look at lazerhawks or goons for example. I feel what you are saying OP. I have quit many times myself. but in the end I realize I dont play Eve for pvp or for the need to fit in socially. I play Eve because I love science and space, astronomy, etc… and I love intellectual challenges, struggles, etc. I came back last time after a few month break and just said to myself, I can play this game by myself, I dont actually need a corp or alliance, or a gang of thugs to feel at ease. I play because space is my home and its a natural feeling for me to be sitting in station spinning or whatnot.

You can either realize that you are looking for something you need or have found what you want and simply are here to enjoy it, regardless of the childish answers to realistic questions, the unrealistic expectations of corporations and their CEOs… etc etc… not saying all corps are bad or like this. just most of them, most of the larger corps… they are troll, scam, hack, cheat, corrupt, infested organizations, just like the governments of the world. and that is their intention. because Eve allows it, they actually thrive in this environment. thats because of their toxic nature, thinking, attitude. etc…

You dont have to subscribe to this. I have chosen not to, as I dont need it, it doesnt benefit me none, nor does it benefit others around me. If anything, Check out Star Citizen… its a but more immersive and realistic. but you will get the same personality types there too, simply because the problem isnt the game, its the people. some people are just sick… some like to hurt others, because they were hurt, or because they feel they are not special, wanted, needed. etc. Id suggest you, if you do stay a bit before you leave, to try to find a smaller corp, that is a close, tight nit commuity, thats goal is to provide a stable friendship or gameplay first…?

I totally get you though. it does take a thick skin to live around all these viruses… the toxic personalities behind them, the lack of moral or ethics… lol yea dont expect to find that, but it does exist within the people, so you need to find the “right” organization for you. I was in Eve University for a short time, and that was exceptionally well. I thought they cared about their player base, and there was pvp and pve content everywhere to learn and join in on.

best of luck though if you leave. I hope it had a foundational impact on you like it did for me… fly safe

This guy got it almost right.

You see, EVE actually IS a golden veneer over a toxic cesspit.
And that cesspit is called the miner and industry playerbase.

You see, never once in my playtime have i been insulted, threatened or had spite from gankers or gate campers. at the most ive been made fun of by some of them. but then again. vov.

Now when it comes to industry players and miners, and in some cases PVE’ers ive encountered levels of toxicity
most would only attribute to alliance leaders losing trillions in isk and assets because they had a rat.

Whenever i played the game the way i play, there was bound to be someone that insulted me just cuz i didnt play as a ‘‘nice guy’’ character. at the worst i even got some death treats because thats the reasonable reaction these days when someone shoots your untanked hauler filled with citadel and modules.

i’ve had countless insults and death treats playing this game, but none of them came from gankers or gatecampers.

Im not asking for pity or sympathy, i dont care if someone wants to insult me or threathen me over some space pixels. However, i DO want to address the hypocrisy that goes around in this game concerning it’s toxicity problem.

I dont see Eve as the problem or its game play… its people. its always been people and will always be people. we lack the will to change. we love drama and trauma. it helps identify the weak minded as victims and the over-righteous as avengers of some entitlement.

Just wanted to say that gatecamping is one of the lamest aspects of EVE.

Its content through. Some of the best fun ive had in eve has come from getting together with some bros and busting gate camps.

If I ever get a titan it will only be for hot dropping us on gate campers.

It’s still lame and Trig space is incorporating the same lameness.

And it’s amazing that this supposedly PvP-oriented MMORG has such pitiful PvP content.

But I’d kill gatecamping in an instant, even without improving PvP content.

“What is it with this whiney, liberal, millenial bullsh*t in the game lately?!”

You answered your own question. Very efficient.

All this talk of “relaxing” in Eve…

Realize this. When I undock in lowsec with 20 WT I am completely calm. When I’m in 10% structure and about to be podded I’m extremely calm.

If you’re worried about losing a ship so much don’t undock it. There are many places in Eve where you can safely krab for hours on end. Highsec is not and should not be one of them.

Null sec should be? You talking about null right? Fortunately CCP Larrikin doesnt think everything is all right in null. :smirk:

If players work hard enough, yeah…

I was one of the players tanking so that our other line members could krab in safety in Delve.

No one will outsmart goons, not especially CCP. They’ll run the game into the godamned ground before they figure out how to break an alliance composed of irl adult professionals focused on one thing only.

Fozzie Sov for example? Goons are stronger than ever before. Anything the GM’s throw against goons will fail because it’s made up of exceptional individuals who think of Eve as a game, not as a “lifestyle”

Highsec on the other hand is patrolled by…bots…literal bots…not other real men and women like me who want to do home D on occasion.

Goons create content by requiring real people to defend their own. Highsec allows people to mindlessly play alone for hours on end not interacting with anyone else.

:joy:

You want to make a Serenity out of Tranquility? Go there and see how it really looks.

hurrr hurr durr grrr gons

r/eve koolaid

you drank it

You’ve obviously never lived in Delve - it’s a constant ■■■■ show out there and requires Concord level defense, but with REAL PLAYERS. That’s ■■■■■■■ content.

Why not even make it harder for you. As professionals, you should be ok with it. You want some content right? :smirk:

This is some rage talk. What happened? Doesnt seem like a professional face to me. Rather a kid that thinks that he is invincible.

As for fozziesov, I never said its good. You really are a prejudiced piece of goon.

This thread again.

What’s really the point? Is OP fishing for validation, because he is insecure, or does he feel so ridiculously violated that wants to make the super petty last sting against everyone who he feels had a hand in it?

I just recently came back to EvE. From a 3 month stint in WoW, which I started after I had that MMO itch.

And I’m loving every moment of it. The game’s a spectacle of it’s own, however, there has always been and always will be people who want EvE to be their sandcastle game, which it is not. Sandbox on top of a Mad Max Fury Road tanker truck it is. Sandcastle EvE is not.

I left WoW after the three months when I understood the direction they’re taking it (constant, further simplification, pruning of abilities and complexity, retardization of content, boost of accessibility, so that everyone and their retarded 9 year olds could do full content, etc.).

That and the fact that none of my actions felt meaningful. It’s just a constant stride for better gear through easy content that is mundane and easy to anyone with a good feel and head for videogames. Mistakes were never punished with anything else than a loss of less than 5 minutes.

My point is that - it’s actually the players like OP who are the invasive ones. Not the gankers.
The players like OP are the ones who have an insanely long list of easy, accessible and casual Sandcastle games. They have opportunities for hundreds of thousands of man hours of investments in fun. In what gameplay they really want.

Yet they come to EvE, one of the very few bastions for the Hardcore and the Complex and the Numbercruncher Neckbeard, and then complain, bitch and moan that this game is not what they want it to be and that the bad men touched them. To top it off, their loss comes at nothing else but their own plain stupidity.

Truly, an asshole.
