I’m gonna skim over explaining how and why you’re stupid because you probably wouldn’t understand anyway. Your grasp of business strategy and finance in general are obviously shockingly poor, but even then you could just have done a basic google search before embarrassing yourself.
“Was 2016 CCP’s best year ever? Last year’s $86.1 million in revenue beat FY 2013’s $76.7 million in revenue, with the added bonus of turning a profit. In 2013, CCP posted a $21.3 million loss.”
Whatever you might think about recent changes toward pay-to-win (skill injectors etc) it is categorically working. None of your diatribe about “losing talent” makes a shred of difference to the fact that CCP are making loads of money now instead of losing it. Cold hard facts for you there eat up.
OP, wouldn’t you really rather stay in game and get revenge on those bums?
Join a big Null-sec corp and stay out of hi-sec. Null is peaceful; hi-sec is a toxic waste.
… if they are making tons of money they are not using it for EVE because development is slow, bugs dont get fixed for months (i.e. almost 2 months after the patch, there are still players who are invisible in local!), the roadmap is pretty much empty, talent is leaving and the devs themselves dont sound too optimistic (i.e. they are not sure if they are making a AT next year).
If they are wasting the short term income from EVE on another fail project again then its RIP CCP.
EVE can only go F2P once and the main progression path (skill points) is already monetized to the max (daily skill injectors are already pushing it very far).
That reminds me … in 2016 they have done pretty much everything they can to push short term income … skill trading was introduced, the game went F2P and they used bait and switch balancing (Rorqual) to drive the demand for skill extractors to insane levels. In dont think 2016 is a good indicator for CCPs health.
Stats for 2017 would be interesting …
It would be nice if industrial ships had the capability to defend themselves. There is no reason why you can’t put guns on a freighter besides making it easier to gank. I’m not an industrialist by any means but those players should be able to fight back.
two large shield extenders
3 shield rechargers
5 shield power relays
3 purger rigs.
Light drones to taste and ability.
High slots: recommended 75mm gauss gun and small nosferatu
Go t2 mods and t1 rigs, you’re looking at 500+dps PASSIVE shield regen. Go shiny, you can hit 800.
It is extremely hard to kill. That’s battleship tank right there, for oh, 15 million ISK?
Kindly ■■■■ off and buy a console for one player games.
Though, I guess you could try Ishtaria. It’s an MMO all about building, and has NO PVP. It’s also as boring as watching paint dry, but I will admit that it has a in depth crafting system.
Your first post earned maybe a bit of sympathy and a reaction to want to help.
Your second post earned only derision.
Can you stop polluting what are possibly parts of valid arguments by bringing them up solely so you don’t have to admit that you didn’t want a competitive game in the first place?
EVE has its problems. I think there are many flaws in the mechanics that outline the ways people can compete in EVE. Some come from EVE being an old game, some from newer decisions.
You however, don’t want any competition in the first place. That’s okay. You want to play safe, that’s okay. It means this game is not for you. Not in its current state and surely even less, should some of the real issues ever be fixed.
Had you written “I want fights, but I always get dropped by Supers”, more people would have supported that or at least acknowledged that some mechanics are too stale. Whining because of an Industrial loss in a game where you try to collect ISK for absolute no reason, people have almost no other choice than to taunt you.
P.S. Give me all your in-game stuff or I follow you to your safe MMO and gank you there
-" deep space transports are designed to bust their way through the enemy, relying on their warp strength and tanking abilities to escape. This probably won’t work against a determined and well-prepared gatecamp, and using a deep space transport indicates to all and sundry that you have cargo you want to protect, so you should think carefully before deploying one."-
You’re obviously not strong enough to play a game with consequences built around war, maybe a lower age range of game would be more appropriate as mistakes are usually not punished in those.
From the sounds of it you might enjoy like train or truck simulator.
Your own fault for not having the IQ level enough to scout. If losing the stuff is going to hurt, you should invest time/effort into reducing the chances of losing said stuff. But you didn’t, and you did, you reap what you sow.
