It has been [0] days without a bad faith, poorly argumented, barely disguised anti-ganking thread on the EVE Online Forum.
And where is that community when the streamers needs them? Not ingame, not supportive, just raging and complaining about people who play the game how it’s meant to be played. A community like that is not going to help EVE and it’s not going to be a benefit for EVE at all. The only people it’s a benefit for is the streamer who gets free money for mostly worthless streaming content. Because:
Are we talking about that MtHelicon2077 that is regularly and actually mostly only streaming COD? A combat heavy, assault driven and planing and strategy intensive game? You would think that such a guy would understand that playing PVP centric game like EVE would require actual preparation to stay alive. I just checked this twitch channel and the only 2 EVE videos I saw on it were him sitting idle in a belt in a Venture and doing weird stuff with a scram and a missile launcher fitted to a hauling ship to an asteroid. That is not good streaming material to help EVE.
No.

Since you’re such an expert, why don’t you stream? Of course you won’t, you’ll sit there and criticize EVE content creators because you think they are getting something they don’t deserve, even though by CCPs own actions they are beneficial to the game.
If you want to try to make a stream where you focus it around baiting attackers then forming up some kitchen sink defence force from your viewers you are free to do so. That doesn’t mean it’s a good thing for streamers who stream any of the dozens of playstyles to be lit up as targets for lazy players.
Out of curiosity will it be ok under your new rules if I use my stream as a bullhorn to announce where my bait procurer is at?
CCP does not care at all about that aspect. If they were, they’d not give these candies to streamers who have no clue about EVE and only stream it to get the goodies.
Every action has a reaction. Streamers being followed around is not different to other players getting followed around. I do that in my area all the time to make people feel uncomfortable when they try to pull stunts in my sov space. This is perfectly normal behavior in EVE. Because EVE means “Everyone Vs Everyone”. Funny thing is that there remedies against getting followed around nowadays. You can just filament around null sec or space in general with these Noise and Signal filaments to get away from your stalkers, for instance.
They give it to players who build a community and stream a lot of EVE content. Whether or not you’ve decide they are good at EVE for not doesn’t really factor into it. You’re hardly a professional yourself.
Of course streamers being targeted because they are streaming is different from other players being followed. I doubt you even log on, let alone follow anyone anywhere.
That’s not what EVE means. It was used in an EVE echoes ad though so maybe that’s where you want to go hang out.
No thanks, I hang out in EVE TQ just fine and make the lives of people I don’t like more miserable there with typical, standard and common-place EVE tactics.
Yes, they are called gankers.

Ultimately, the gents at CCP will decide. I have a hard time believing they’re as incompetent as some players seem to think.
What I note is that the PvPer isn’t banned as of the writing of this post. That should be a sign.
Touché. The sadly-unaware, no-opsec streamer in OP says he has 5 watchers on his stream when he flounces off it. At least one was probably Sargon and possibly other contestants were on there as well. Really the guy should thank Aiko for bringing far more attention to his stream than he was doing.
lol - Oh, Daretqua ol’ chum…your E-Bushido is amusing.
You really should read Sun Tzu’s ancient work ‘The Art of War’, it’s very good. It is a classic because it deals with human nature and is applicable to all fields of human opposition, not only war. Business, sport, etc. etc.
In your post you have unwittingly shown a major factor in the decline of EvE; players mentally catagorising New Eden as a place of peace rather than as a place of constant war where one should always be on guard. #sad

BINGO ! Card is full.
The Bingo card was so accurate, that the card silently disappeared.

Of course streamers being targeted because they are streaming without taking easy, normal precautions to hide their whereabouts is different from other players being followed: they’re streaming a demonstration of “how not to EvE”
*italicized edits are mine
It really is that simple. Hide location in stream app, just that.

OR just actually go with the flow, accept it, embrace it, make a game out of it and deal with it™ And by being a “good sport” you lower the chance of becoming a target.

Oh here we go…the whole thing is just another anti-gank ruse by you. Invent a vague ‘problem’. Argue that you are not arguing what you actually are arguing. Wail ‘CCP must do something about it’. Rinse and repeat.
You know who he really is.
Why are you surprised? We have to stop feeding sadly
This is an anti gank thread disguised as a pro streamer thread.
In reality, streamers do not deserve extra attention. If said streamers were smart and understood EVE, they’d use it as counter-intel to set traps for stream snipers.
Once you catch a few peeps, the sniping would die off. Or people would bring astronomical numbers to counter it, which would then generate even more content for the streamer.
Again, if the streamers were smart, this is what they would do.
IF, being the stipulation

Can you post a link to that video?
He won’t. He never posts any proof to his claims.

Sadly in this day and age, most peoples do not know the old ways.
They simply don’t know how to lasagna.

Sadly, these peeps most likely haven’t cracked a book on strategy in their life.
Hell, I don’t think he even understands how brutal of a code bushido actually is.

And use it to lay a trap and kill those who come after you
Streamers say, “Look at me, I’m so good, watch me.”
They are challenging everyone to come find them and fight. If they don’t like attention, they can stop streaming. That’s fine. They don’t need to stream.

Exactly.
Streaming is a choice, not a right.
It’s like when streamers cry when they get teamed on in Apex.
You chose to put yourself on front street.
