Is Eve Online too toxic?

Do keep on, gloriously funny.

A war HQ would be destroyed by blackflag likely immediately, if that was the avenue you’re suggesting. I’m not aware of another way to legally attack others in HS

What you did was not.

Whoever said anything about legal?

Right, but that takes us back to ganking the gankers?

They can’t gank the gankers. That would require them to learn how, which would make them a ganker. First they would start out by ganking Ventures, then they would go for barges, and by the time they are hunting Hecates and Jackdaws… why gank a ganker?

firstly they are not my superiors…

secondly. as i sayd not everyone likes being ganked. and to whoever it was that said ganking happens mostly in 03 - 0.6. your wrong actually. ive seen it happen in jita and other really hi sec systems. so no its not purely just those areas that people get attacked in @WhamyKablamy

i do get what you are saying but as ive said and my point remains. there is no reasoning with people that gank others. then when people get mad at them… they wonder why. and instead of seeing it from the victims point of view. the find the need to insult and rub salt in. rather then say hey sorry about that. bla bla…

I see your plan!

And it is easily done. Many capsuleers have made documents pertaining to it.

But again, it requires actual skill.

The Prophet’s other tactic is completely foolproof and merely requires a friend or another clone. I gave it years ago.

The pirates literally cannot counter it and it keeps you entirely safe in that system for a certain window.

That is somebody’s new alt, joined forums on March 30… :smirk:

Whether or not everyone likes being ganked is immaterial. This is a PvP sandbox game. You’re going to have stuff happen that you don’t like.

Earlier in this thread I mentioned that I did a lot of PvE because of my heart attack and the adrenaline. I didn’t get ganked once in that time… well except when I was feeling ballsy and went at a Machariel with a PvE stabber for funzies… but you know what I did have happen? Industrialists, who you seem to think have no negative qualities at all, would immediately undercut anything that I put on the market to sell for LP:Isk conversion. To petty levels. I might put, I dunno, 100k ammo on at a reasonable price and you can be guaran-bloody-teed that within an hour someone was undercutting it by 0.1 isk. Usually someone who had hundreds of thousands of ammo on sale in a high-volume sales area.

That is a very typical behaviour. Guess what, I didn’t like that happening, but I didn’t come on the forums complaining that industrialists are a toxic scourge that are out to upset all the mission runners.

As for your assertion that you’ve seen ganks happening in Jita, therefore they don’t mostly happen in lower security systems… Provide some evidence, maybe? Because yes, ganks do happen in Jita. But you know what I found when I just went and looked for any big and/or industrialist deaths in Jita? Exactly what everyone has been telling you.

Here’s what I found from the last 4 pages…

Someone losing billions of isk in a jackdaw that has zero defenses and a crappy fit, 100km from a station:

Someone losing billions of isk to a police drone when jumping into Jita with a low security status:

Someone losing 160m while 100km from a station:

Someone losing several hundred million in a non insta-warp fit at a gate with a pure cargo hold lows:

Someone losing several hundred million in a non insta-warp fit at a gate with an even worse pure cargo hold setup:

It’s hardly a scourge on the game when people are jumping in, unprepared, not insta-warping, not insta-docking/undocking, not fitting their ships with any sort of defenses while carrying bugger-tons of goods, is it?

With even a basic T1 hauler you can get to almost 25k EHP omni-tank, with cloaking insta-warp and warp stabs on, that requires no active tanking and cheap rigs for under 25 million isk. All of those kills look like juicy targets to me, exactly like I said. I can’t blame someone for taking the opportunity to grab some loot, in a PvP game, when people can’t be buggered to do even the most basic steps to stop themselves getting popped.

Yeah, and I have a good idea who it is. They never give up do they, I am so not bothered by the thing they accuse me, the only reason I mention it is in the context of defining their toxicity. I work on the basis that if a wanker like them think I am a wanker then that is a victory.

How are you by the way? I hope you are well.

Yeah, I agree 100% and it’s good to see you here…

Everything is going great for me, thanks for asking. Hope the same for you.

New Eden is far from anything toxic. Anyone who tries to suggest otherwise had not endured real trauma of loss. Having your hard earned mining ship destroyed or taken from your possession is not toxic.

Once that is understood then nothing in EveOnline could come close to being considered toxic gameplay.

/toxic gameplay is not even when a pilot is ordered to do some form of training against their will @Aiko_Danuja

// You want Isk this month you better behave and stop acting like you’re some high or mighty trainer!

/// Toxic Behaviour is when Multiboxing is banned.

@Iceacid_Frostpacker I think anyone with acid in his name is toxic. :smirk:  :smiling_imp:

If only you can be trusted, then and only then will I reveal the reason for using that in my pilots handle.

There is a good chance that you will not have what I need to even start to explain.

All these theatrical offtopics, make up your mind then follow through, doesn’t matter if you tell it or not. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway I always assumed you have that name because you are an ice miner thus you mine icacid and pack and compress those frosty pieces to haul home. :upside_down_face:

If 1/3 of all voters find it too toxic here the game HAS a problem, denying it is part of the problem, not part of the solution…

Yes…101 of let’s say 30k is not representative but at least it’s a sign…that would mean 10k are seriously thinking about leaving…

Everyone thinks of leaving, all the time. That’s the nature of gaming in general and MMO’s in particular because not many other games are played for more than, say, 50 hours. Stop doing the “these statistics perfectly support my personal point of view”, they don’t.

As i said…denying a problem solves nothing… you also have no proof that these 'statistics ’ lie,but still you support the ‘opinion’ that there is no problem at all…

So stop giving advices to other people if you are not willing to follow your own :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not denying there are toxic people who do toxic ■■■■ in game. I’m denying your “see that’s why, if only people would do and think exactly like I do then it would be solved”.

Don’t try to manipulate and weasel. It won’t work.
