Is Hisec ganking good for the game?

It is somewhat unusual for people to get so upset over something which has no basis.

I only stopped by to mention what has been one of the bigger reasons I’ve heard from people who have tried Eve and quit nothing more or less. I’m only still here because of the tragic amount of **** posting it has generated.

Nah bro. You are engaging in sophistry and you know it.

Everything but play the game huh? ROFL.

Ok man I tried to give you the bennie, but this screams alt energy right now.

So many things they can do.

You don’t anymore. Hence your opinion is nill.

Bro. She straight up murdered you. She legit ganked you on the forums and out of the game. Bro. You are officially the greatest killmail ever. Holy crap. I’m pretty sure you just handed her the key to winning EVE forever.

Bro you are worse. You’ve spent years complaining in forums of a game you don’t play. Man. Its funny but actually seriously sad. Like no snark, I feel real, abject pity for you and your life bro.

We’ve posted tons of tactics. Scroll up and read.

The reason people are ā€œupsetā€ is because you are attempting to negatively impact a game you no longer play and have no intention of playing again. This point has been made over ad over, it is valid. it exposes your real intentions.

If there was nothing to what I was saying, nothing would change, people wouldn’t have a reason to get upset. Nothing I suggested would negatively impact the game anyhow especially if as some suggest ganking actually increases new player retention as it would catch cases where it didn’t have that effect.

If a group of people that didn’t like you started telling people you were a thief, a criminal and were a threat to society, would the fact you disagreed with them and emphatically defended your innocence prove that there accusations had basis?

Different situation - I’m not accusing anyone of anything.

Anyhow I only dropped by for a periodic look at the state of the game - I never stay long so if people object so much to me being here it is in their hands to do something about it - replying to me with **** posts just delays until I’m gone.

(For clarity that isn’t aimed at people like Etch).

No but you are stating that because people are disagreeing with you that is evidence that you are right.

I am merely pointing out the absurdity.

By default the fact you disagree with me proves I’m right. See how bonkers it is.

To be frank there is only so far I will make an effort in response to people who post like some have been doing - under other circumstances I’d make more of an effort.

disengage when challenged and presented with FACTS that counter your arguments. Got it.

Yourself, Dracvlad and Ridley talk in circles, contradict yourselves, switch discussions and confuse arguments to the point where the only position you are ultimately left with is

ā€œif i wasn’t right why would you be disagreeing so muchā€

I really think at this point you should call it a day? no?

Let me rephrase this… thing.
I have blamed game mechanics.
But only when there were changes… Initially, it was about things that affected my way of EVE… but in time, I saw that they escalated to other ways, not just mine, for which I found no logical ground. I left or better: I stopped for a while a couple of times because of this.

But when I am a new player… I understood then and now --and still believe is any gamers’ scope of affairs when starting a new game-- that whatever … thing … that could bother me, is part of it and I had to just find a way around.
Mechanics, I guess… are not initial part of judgement, or shouldn’t be as much as landscape, population or quality of life… for a new player. I believe mechanics weigh more with time and if there is a change one suspects fraudulent, it’s a killer.

I’ve started to suspect they are the same person.

What I posted is pretty easy to understand, perhaps it is your own thought process that is going in circles.

I am following this thread, if you think that I am the alt of someone else then feel free to think it, it bothers me not. What interests me is making ganking a complete benefit to this game and in my very considered opinion only a few very well directed and thoughtful changes which I have detailed above will do it. Then let the explosions happen and fun be had by all.

right on cue

Anyhow I’ve stayed involved with Eve over the years being active on other forums and following streamers like Bjorn, I see the same reason frequently, amongst the reasons, as to why people say they quit as new players maybe it is wrong maybe it is right but it is what I see not uncommonly on the other end of this - what people say when they no longer are involved with the game.

It is literally all I stopped by to mention and whatever people say here doesn’t change that - I might not have full insight over the whole range of players who weren’t retained but it certainly comes up a lot.

Dracvlad is 100% not an alt of mine.

Yah, and I’m not James 315.

Ah. So anything but actually playing the game. I see. And we seen your activity on that other forum now. Bro. Just stop. You already won a medal for being the first person ganked outside of the game dude.

With the Stormbringer and Thunderchild being part of the environment, ganking in High Sec is going to be more difficult.

I recently tested my Stormbringer on a FR pod in Uedama. I didn’t get the kill but I did learn some valuable information.

After being chased by the Caldari NPC Police for what must have been a ā€˜bounce’, the Police settled down.

I then found a fleet of FR ganker pods on a station.

I locked four of them up and fired the Vorton. I was impressed because I got hits on all four locked targets plus seven more for a total of 11 targets and not one bounce to an NPC or Capsuleer ship.

So, if a fleet of AG has, let’s say, five Stormbringers or five Thunderchilds in a fleet and a gank fleet warps to a gate. Due to the compact nature that the gank fleet arrives at the gate in, the bounce from all Vortons used would have a 95% chance of probability in bouncing the ganker fleet with a 5% chance of bouncing to a non-hostile.

Drawback

The gankers will probably use human shield ships, non -10 Sec Stat ships to try and get a bounce to that will draw Concord.

The Vorton is an awesome weapon in dealing with gankers. CCP should have a toggle switch that allows the bounce to be directed towards FY or FR, or Faction Warfare targets only that would require an additional skill to be learned.

Though knowing CCP they will suddenly change how it works without any information and laugh as we all die to CONCORD. Still it is something worth looking at.
