You are being insulting again and putting words in my mouth, I said that this sample had this impact. I made no comment here of the impact of ganking as a whole, but what I would say is that there will be a loss of players, how much I don’t know and I don’t think CCP knows either.

I think you have no idea what you are talking about here, I used to work in the financial industry where we would look for the trend makers and high level indicators that gave guidance to what was happening. Let me give you a simplistic one, watching what Goldman Sacs was doing, due to their practices they were always ahead of the curve. If you have no idea what I mean then you will not understand anything I said.

Ultimately if i came to you and with a 30kill sample over the course of the year and insisted it demonstrated a key game trend you would tear my argument down. EDIT: My original post in this thread wasn’t intended as being anything other than anecdotal anyhow - I spend enough time in and around Eve that there is likely at least something to what I said IMO even if the specifics are debatable or some aspects wrong.
All it proved was that there was an issue with scam web unlimited bumping ganks which CCP has since ended as a thing. You are making more of it than that.
I detailed this so people could see what type of analysis I did, because it was to show what people would have to do. No more than that.
As CCP Falcon kept deleting my posts during the sale period I guess he was not happy with this being seen.

It’s straight forward. I referred to your study as being evidence of something being an issue in game. You criticised me for this.
Yet you continue to refer to the study as proof, proving and proved in relation to bump ganking.

It is what I said it is and I detailed it as an example of what people need to do to assess the impact of ganking as CCP is not going to do anything. If you want to read more into it than that, in terms of playing mindless forum wars then go ahead, but at least I have told you what I intended by mentioning it. What it is as it always is……….flawed arguments on flawed statistics. You write a long post and talk about a study where it showed 60% of players left after a specific type of gank.
When thats interrogated a little more we find that thats over a year with a tiny sample size that honestly does not show any kind of trend at all. 18 players over a year. A truly shocking statistic. And when confronted with questions about why it means something (which you think it does as you quoted it to make a point) you squirm around criticising me for asking questions.

I come back to my point earlier. Put yourself in others shoes. Look at what you are saying, doing and arguing and ask yourself how you would reply to someone acting like that towards you. This whole notion you promote that you are above scrutiny just undermines everything you say. Be more self aware.

I worked in high level financial services, where we had to look for trends and make future predictions. So when you are telling me about small samples and being representative or not, I am well ahead of you mate, so ahead of you it is embarrassing.
I suggest that you give up, and I only tell you this because there is nothing that any of you people can say to me that will impact how I think about myself and what I think, unless you make a reasoned argument backed by data and I would of course then take it into account into my opinion.

Hisec ganking is part of the game, it needs further balance improvement in some areas which I have detailed, but the balance is largely fine. That is it, that is what I think and there is no need for your emotive personal attacks.
And, you are being dumb, I do not however think you are dumb.
