Space lawyering is dumb and in this case just completely wrong.
Scamming is allowed in this game.
Fraudulently reversing a credit card charge against a completely legal contractual arrangement (ie. the contract between CCP and the purchaser) will get that person in a lot of crap.
That has nothing at all to do with a scam in game. It would be fraudulent to reverse a purchase from CCP in that way.
Don’t take my word for it. Raise a support ticket and ask CCP themselves.
The two things are not connected in any way.
Scamming has been ok since the day the servers opened. People injected their real $ in the game daily only to have it blown up, lost, and scammed. These are all parts of the game that CCP has laid out for us. You’re just being a drama queen.
It’s ok. You don’t have to play this game you know.

It’s not something the OP has done yet he’s just asking if we think it would be within CCP’s rules.
Bear in mind also that this post is actually mild trolling for responses & to wind peeps up.
If the OP really wanted to do this he’d send CCP a ticket instead & wouldn’t advertise his intentions to the whole community (including all his potential marks) like this

I’m trying to tell you that CCP isn’t going to really enforce this rule unless a circumstance arises that calls for the need. It merely gives them the option to enforce it.
The type of circumstance I talk about is something that stirs up a witch hunt by Ripard Teg. Really anything that clearly is real harassment of the person and not just the Avatar. I am aware that there are real people playing behind those avatars, but again… CCP allow this behavior in their game. Please find another game to play if you are unhappy instead of trying to role play a space lawyer.
The latest major heist that was all over was the AT ship that’s Samantha Myth stole. It was a simple social manipulation where he spent time playing with these people. Do you think that at any time during his social manipulation that he used a 3rd party? Something like Teamspeak or Discord?
Be realistic. It’s just a part of the game.
No, I won’t play another game. I or one of my alts might meet you, I might catch you stepping over the line, report you to CCP or in case of RL harassment to the local authorities and you’ll be off playing another game. I should check if “Space Lawyer” is already used as a toon…

OP asks if x is ok. He should ask CCP. I mention ransoming sometimes go far outside the scope. You feel personally attacked by the pedo mention. Then you ask to quote the OP? That’s retarded, sp is the ability to fly a ship, not just afford it. If I’m flying a battleship or an exhumer or something that takes a long time to skill up to fly. That’s 6 months(i don’t know how long) to relearn to fly. That’s a game crippler for a set amount of time, any anyone that is tortured like is more than likely going to quit.
That’s different than loosing all their money, with all the skills intact, there should be a way to recoup his losses. My get lucky and make a big score and be right back in the big leagues. In no time or not.
That’s uncertainty, and you can have hope.
I just find that messing with one’s so is a disgusting way to torture someone.
Thank goodness that extractions don’t really work on low grade characters, and anyone old enough to really cripple is will hopefully know better.

i first started playing in 2012
i couldnt even undock in the first month because my noob corp was wardecced
and griefed hard
it didnt make me quit though
it made me say i dont wanna be griefed
i wanna be the griefer
so i took the tools the game gave me
and i put the screw in the tuna
and now here we are 5 years later talking about torture
and how it drives away players
ignoring the fact those tools no longer exist for new players
and the tuna is so watered down the screw just sinks straight to the bottom
all because of a player retention falacy
im not a griefer anymore though
my griefing days are long behind me largely to changes in the meta
these days there is nothing in the game that interests me
other than the ships themselves
i play eve for the ships and nothing else anymore
