There is an infinite amount of PLEX, it is generated by players buying with real world money. They can then use it to buy things from the premium shop or (what I assume most use it for) sell it on the regular market to other players for ISK who can then use it for that same stuff in the premium shop, including omega subscription time. The thing is doing so makes CCP more money, as the 500 PLEX costs more then a month of omega.
Yes yes… but this thread is about players buying PLEX with isk to sub accounts, not buying PLEX with real money.
From players buying plex so they don’t have to grind out isk like how the plex system works now. That or you’re such a menace that you steal billions from players via ganking thus making more money in a month than several pvers combined over that same month.
That doesn’t answer the question, it only answers “how does PLEX enters the game.”
I thought it was a simple question with only one logical answer: they wouldn’t / couldn’t.
Everyone will never only buy plex because the people that buy plex do so to skip the grind of earning isk

I used to just say, meh, it’s $15 per toon to just play the game and enjoy it and not worry about grinding to PLEX.
I refuse to accept the same idea since they upped it to $20 out of sheer principle and spite.
Instead of 3-4 always active paid accounts, sometimes it was 6-8 out of 19, now they have 1 single unpaid account PLEXing off of a 300 Billion ISK wallet and 18 #ForeverAlphas.

after all, the fact that ccp will raise the subscription fee by 5$ in 2022 was known already in 2003, so I completely do not understand what these emotions are for…
Yes so you have been paying $15 per toon before and now you can still pay 15 if you just do more months at a time I think 3 will give you 15.

Yea but I mean he could at least try use a little common sense instead of just moaning xD But I mean if he is using a single account and plexing with in-game money then that is probably a lot more sensible in the first place compared to 19 char’s xD lol…

Some people just want to beach and moan. Professional complainers have permanent representation in gaming.
Instead of simply playing as Alpha and enjoy the game they prefer to let their discontent known to the world… as if that’s gonna change anything.
In a game where infinite amounts of isk can be bought with a simple swipe of a credit card, wealth means absolutely nothing. In fact, the more isk you have, the less I respect you ( not that I actually respect any of you in the first place ). Especially since the richest characters ingame are likely to be one of those Senators and Congressmen ( paying with the people’s money instead of their own most likely ) or the billionaires with more money than sense Hilmar loves bragging about so much in interviews to make himself appear more important than he ever was or will be.
RL monies per hour exist thou so the conversion rates then become a thing so infinite does not exist.
i genuinely start having palpitations and hot sweats and my heart starts racing when caught up in pvp in eve it really isnt a a nice experience for me and its never changed from even playing this in closed beta yet i dont bat an eyelid when losing a ship in a pve situation i have never been able to explain it but i avoid it when or where ever i can

What you say cannot happen. Let’s pretend all PLEX in the market vanished today, fresh start.
If absolutely no one bought PLEX with RL money, but 100% of the pop. wanted to buy it INGAME, with ISK, well, there would not be any PLEX for them to buy with ISK, right? Because it’d not seeded into the game at all - since no one paid for it with RL money. So you will have thousands wanting to buy an item that’s not spawned in game. So their alternative would be to get a subscription or pay for PLEX with real money. In any case CCP gets $$$.
So in order for PLEX to be tradeable ingame, someone has to pay for it first, so that the item magically spawns ingame.

A lot of us love pvp becuase of these thing’s thou as nothing else can bring that level of adrenaline.
It does lessen over time thou unfortunately.
If you had to pvp for a month it will probably effect you only half as much.

That’s been resolved a week ago.
The question was: If every player bought PLEX from isk earned in-game, how would CCP make money?
The answer was: they wouldn’t.
Plex needs to be purchased from CCP for $.
Every Plex in game has been purchased for a dollar amount.
Furthermore the Plex cost of a sub in $’s is more than the $ cost of the sub. So CCP actually make more per sub if the sub is purchased in Plex.
What we need to be aware of is the abundance of Plex in game. E.g. In the last annual earnings report there was a figure for what i would call “outstanding obligations” in there. Which is essentially the value of Plex thats been sold by CCP to players which has not yet been redeemed in game. That was around $7mill from memory.
So remember while you can buy PLEX for isk in game and use that to purchase Omega, someone else before you purchased that Plex for $’s from CCP.
