January 2018 Release - General Feedback

CCP, do you really think that I’m communicating with everyone from a local chat and I need a quick button for this?

Why ammo don’t stack in cargo after a recharge?

Good job, guys.

The Industry UI for blueprints has sub-groups for Module/RIg: Rig Armor, Rig Shield, etc. Could you expose these sub-groups as a sorting order for Inventory windows?

Problem: A container of various ship Rigs or their blueprints is a jumbled unsort-able mess, it is not possible to easily select only the Armor Rigs.

I have to agree with you james, Please let the players have the option to remove the new chat bubble.Just another useless feature that gets in the way.

Someone at CCP trying to justify there wages so they come up with this chat bubble start convo rubbish…Please give us the option to at least hide it.

Please either allow option to remove or hide the Chat Bubble. I find this to be more of a nuisance than anything. Also, how do I find R&D agents now? They are not options in the Agency screen. Actually, please just bring back the Agent Finder. That has my vote.

R&D: Look again after today’s DT.

Thanks for the response.

The Astral Mining NPCs are the Mining Operation fleets, so you have addressed that. I see those as a deep blue.

The Ishukone NPCs are from a really old news event in the Intaki system, and idle about outside Intaki V-5 along with some Mordu’s Legion NPCs.

I see the Ishukone as a deep blue, and Mordu’s Legion appear white, both in line with my (NPC Corp not NPC Faction) standings from running missions.

I worked through the overview settings, and the Ishukone NPCs are ‘Mission Faction Cruisers’ and ‘Mission Faction Industrials’. The Mordu’s Legion NPCs are ‘Mission Mordu Cruisers’.

From that, I’m assuming they’re actually permanently spawned mission rats, and so those missioning NPC standings are in effect.

Edit:

After chatting about this in our corp, we’ve realised that derived corp standings are dictating the NPC colour.

Using the Ishukone NPCs I described above as an example, our CEO who has no standings at all with that NPC corp still sees them as blue. We checked and due to some of us having excellent standings, Ishukone has our corp at +6.99 and so everybody sees blue NPCs.

We noted that some people might only be checking their personal standings with NPCs, confused as to what they’re seeing.

Putting R&D agents in the agency tomorrow dosn’t answer the question of why people from test told them 20 days ago R&D was missing from the agency, they released it anyway.

Need a way to disable chat bubble in UI period.

Most of the player base is now just setting autoreject to convos.

This is making me monoclegate levels of angry
This is making me boot.ini levels of angry

I won’t be purchasing another SKIN with PLEX until this gets resolved. More than happy to speak with my wallet.

Its sad when a such enjoyable game gets to the point of nearly unenjoyable because you feel like the company is just not competent enough to run it. :frowning:

The Agency - instead of Agent Finder:
No portraits, worthless map, only 12 agents (instead of the 150ish I could search before), slow, big (like 30% of screen), can’t be stacked with anything else, less sortable, etc…
I looked back at the dev blog for this and these sentiments were universal.
Agency takes away pretty much all of my available screen space while offering a fraction of the usability/functionality enjoyed with Agent Finder.
So if I want to play Eve, I now have to literally find some way to work around this garbage.
I think I’ll take a break from Eve instead.

So, this is not Upwell 2.0? Can we have a release date other than “Q1 2018”, because iirc it used to be “January 2018” after being confused with the Arms Race in December.

I find that the lack of detail on updates.eveonline.com makes it so useless, only a few select topics have a blog post :b A tangible release date to work with would be great.

Did they really remove the Agent Finder now? A piece of UI that is the pinnacle of useful programming, compact and responsive, whoever did it deserves a medal. The Agency interface is all bling, and slow, and sluggish, and is less usable, I hate it.

how do I turn of the the little chat bubbles in the chat window it covers up half of peoples names?
if i compact it it goes away but then so do the images and also if you set the double click action to start convo the icon still stays?
if there is not a way to turn it of are there plans to add a setting to hide it? That way the 3 people that wanted it can still use it and the rest of use don’t have to be annoyed?

also why were resources wasted on a third way to start a private convo from the chat window?

I’m guessing he’s in charge of the colouring in book

Whilst the speech bubble is bad, and as far as I can tell wasn’t asked for, the rivers of salt and anger amaze me, seriously get a hold of yourselves, go ourside, do some good in the world instead of bleating and screaming about a speech bubble.

Same for the agency really, whilst it IS all the bad things that you guy say it is the anger is so intense.

If you hate it that much, step away from the game, go play something else, dont sub, dont buy skins, dont part with any money and dont log on. This would be the only effective message.

I am also interested in the CCP response (if there ever is one).

how about instead you go pod yourself (in game)

and shut the hell up

The anger towards chat bubbles may seem over the top but its as much about CCP completely ignoring player feedback as it is about the anoying feature.

No one has yet brought up the Citadel 2.0 timer settings that are now on TQ here yet. Turns out now that we can finally see exactly how it’s supposed to work it’s actually worse than 1.0 . I’ll let someone more familiar with structure management explain it though, else go see the reddit thread if you are interested.

I get the anger to a certain degree, I can read between the lines with regards beign ignored by CCP too, but CCP will either change it, or they wont.

But it is a game, and if people hate the changes that much then the choices are simple, either adjust or leave. especially as CCP seem to have no interest in discussing the problems, at least not yet.
