Not long and AI-text detection will be part of any browsers base functionality. Hopefully even part of modern forum software, so that stuff can be blocked from posting on one side and marked on the readers side as well. Maybe even ignored by default.
no, i am not AI and i dont use AI to post, I was curios what your thoughts were and i already knew about the once a year bit thank you very much syzygium.
I honestly like a good debate that’s all
If you knew about the year-long cooldown already, why start this thread?
Maybe you don’t, but personally I use jump clones more often than once a year. And I think most others do too. Deathclones are a good way to travel without jump clone cooldown, but won’t replace jump clone functionality.
Not jump clones, but this thread is pointless.
I feel like a good debate necessarily requires at least two positions of somewhat comparable merit.
You can’t really have a good debate if one position is more or less gospel fact and the other is a poorly considered shower-thought.
yeah, i just thought it was worth a shot
It’s already really bad that it needs to be corrected by the companies who provide the services. Like YouTube for example. If all the videos are just thousands of AI generated fake documentaries with b******* information, then no one is going to watch YouTube anymore because all of it is b*******. So I think these companies are beginning to be highly motivated to filter out this AI slop. Soon this forum will require it also.
Like if I wanted to see fake content I’d be watching cartoons you know. I ran out of edits I got to change characters.
I have been doing it for years now. I set my home in LS then haul my gas to Jita. Next I sell both the gas and the hauler and self destruct in the station Poof! I am back home to mine more gas. Easy as pie.
The only time you need or want a jump clone is for keeping implants safe. Unfortunately safe and Eve PvP don’t go well together. Such as this example;
Over 300 million in implants.
Have fun!
so about 3 times my main clones value
I got a clone for shield tanking, a clone for armor tanking, a clone for SPEED, a genolution clone just because old times sake and my main training clone.
You can remotely change your home station once per year. What’s that compared to a 24h timer with a jump clone (or lower with skills)
Back when EVE was more active, I used to clone jump every day between my death clone station and my content experience area structure for fleets. Doing that via home station switching would limit me to one content fleet per 2 years, or I would have to fly to the content experience structure from my school station. But then I could not DC back to my desired and needed original death clone station. ![]()
AI slop really fries peoples’ and bots’ brains beyond repair.
Ansi nerf → jump clone deployment → make npc null great again.
Just a thought.
In all honesty though to the OP I don’t think you have explored the true potential of Jump clones.
Get the skills up and you can have more than 5 however I seem to find 5 will suffice , but that’s just me.
Some like to focus all their activities to one region and keep their assets in one system and there nothing wrong with that if that’s what floats your boat ![]()
With jump clones you can effectively set up bases of activity all over the Eve universe to do different things at different times.
For example I have a Mission running clone, Mining/industry/ research clone, Anti Ganking Clone, and exploration clone and Capital ship clone. All dotted around the map in different regions . When im bored of one activity I jump to another. Once a month I jump to the industry clone and run my PI and BP jobs and sell the produce .
Once you get the gist of the timing it can make the game more efficient and fun
dude, most players has implant sets they jump around with, it’s very useful to protect tyhose implants to jump ro other clones if you’re about to pvp or in high risk pve
That’s another good use for them indeed
it is
I read all of these posts. I don’t think I saw my NEW favorite thing about jump clones. It is an extension of the keeping your expensive clones safe.
If you jump to another station somewhere there is cooldown period.
Just this year I learned you can jump to a clone in the station in which your are at and there is no cooldown.
Friday Yarrrr NPSI fleet time. Go to my station with a blank clone, jump out of my training clone, go (hopefully) pew pew, and then go back (or get podded to) that station and immediately jump back to the training clone.
I have been known to forget to do this whole save-the-expensive-clone thing when I’m caught up in the blood lust and in a hurry. ![]()
i do the training clone technique too
They need to get rid of the entire attribute system. I don’t agree with instant gratification but we also don’t need to make it shitty half the time.
