You guys seem to forget that a lot of newbros make corps with their friends for their own enjoyment
Putting time restrictions on stuff will work as much as age restriction on games lol
Plus, it’s unneeded

Oh, the infamous, crap, pointless “you seem to forget” argument.
No, it wasn’t forgotten. Its already considered and included.
A corp of clueless newbros is still a corp of clueless newbros.
Corp of newbros is like a a nesftul of ducklings hatching, without a parent.
They have no clue what is going on and will be eaten one by one at the leisure of predators.
The best way to get experience is to experience all the flavours of EVE
Not getting their hands held lol
Nobody is holding their hand.
They just cant make corps till they have played for longer.
Join existing corps instead, or solo it.
Nothing prevents them from joining a crap corp.
Just prevents them from forming a crap corp, and that is only temporary.
Nobody steps into a Titan overnight after joining.
Why should they step into forming corps the second they enter either?
How do noobs join crap corps created by noobs if noobs can’t create crap corps anymore?
Remember, I already said I agree with you.
We both know what the HTFU crowd will have to say about it though.
whales do
lul
Not a big fan of squelching Corp creation in any form.
The current system allows for many types of learning - hands on experience, join a established school-corp, research on your own, and/or find a mentor (individual or corp).
It also allows a current player to make a character on a new account, and not be stuck in a NPC Corp for some fixed amount of time.
Lastly, and more importantly, what do these proposals teach new players? They will teach a fixed way of doing things - the so called ‘right way’ - which can be a problem for innovation.
Sink or swim has its place in EvE. There are already many other options for a new player to take in learning how corps work. Taking away an option, especially the experience option, seems almost anti-EvE.
Almost, because I know y’all mean well. I just don’t think this is the way to go about it. I would suggest increasing option visibility in the noob-help chat. Push the message that there other options, but let those that dare do their own thing. They may very well create something unexpected and good.

Edit - Clean up once I’m not using a crappy phone
Good God…
What a crappy analogy.
We don’t let 12 year old people drive because it is dangerous. Dangerous to them and to those on the roads with them.
When it comes to EVE it is a game. Like Monopoly. We let 12 year olds play that. We let them lose too. There is little danger in that.
Sheeesh…
Forming a corp is a way for players (new and old) to have skin in the game. I see that as a good thing.
What on Yulai are you talking about?! EVE Online is serious business!
That is a similar idea to Dracvlads. Only difference is that isk is used to get the holiday/immunity.
Yeah… both collecting points or paying for “holiday” or immunity a bad idea imho.
How about actually winning the war to get their immunity or holiday?
That actually makes sense… if there should be implemented any win condition to end a wardec that should be it.
Win the ■■■■■■■ war and they get their “holiday”/immunity.
Player corps should never be immune from war.
Isn’t that a foundational principal of EVE?
After thinking about it more I agree, I love eve for its realism, its better to avoid PvP through skill and play style not from paying for it.
I never suggested to pay for a war immunity. And my points system suggestion is one that can be adjusted as more people take the option of fighting back so that we get to the point where you get immunity for actually winning the war.

I am effectively immune from hisec war, as I am in nullsec. I am only affected should I chose to go to hisec with any of my chacrters affected by the war, and I can quite easily use characters in a npc corp which avoid war, so it is not a founding principal of Eve. So you war decked my corp and yet using NPC alts I can still do exactly what I want…
The objective is merely to give something of value that means it is worth fighting back, by all means continue as it is with no attempt to fight back, you obviously like boring green killboard pipe humping rubbish and who can blame you as it is so easy…
I am effectively immune from hisec war, as I am in nullsec.
Sure. And I am effectively bulletproof because nobody has bothered to shoot me before.
and I can quite easily use characters in a npc corp which avoid war, so it is not a founding principal of Eve.
As if that was at all relevant to anything I said. But hey, I get it, reading and thinking is hard

Yep, you are, not sure what that proves, but if it makes you feel better go with it mate.

So I don’t do things for my corp with non-corp characters, wierd that
But the corps are not immune from war under my suggestion, they just get a break from war which they have earned by fighting back. Which is worth something to them.
LOL, Teckos knows eve is an experience, and serious business. He likes analysing statistics and is knowledgeable about player driven economies.
Too many people still think this is a game, It is a virtual experience where you simply exist, win or lose, rich or poor, if you face hardship or an easy ride, Eve is an experience.

nope, still a game, go outside sometimes. Last time some player that shared your “vision”, wanted to chop off hands, gets banned. Never take a game too seriously.
