Left because of wardec

As proven by the decline in playerbase since the last wardec nerf…

And even though it’s still early days, the latest wardec nerfs don’t seem to have improved activity either.

Good news for the new overlords, for sure. Increased people signing up to buy those juicy loot crates, PVE rewards, and all the other things game corps use to separate whales from their cash in the most efficient way possible.

But good news for the game? I guess it depends on how you look at it.

You might be surprised, but some of these war deckers who blanket war dec and sit at hubs and pipes are also playing in nullsec, or are already in the major lowsec groups like Snuff, many of them also gank too.

So they are already doing that with other characters.

You should not be worried about that at all, they are obviously protesting but if you look at their killboards before the change to structures enabling war dec’s you will find that the majority of their kills are on nullsec, WH and lowsec alliances, and that has not changed.

The biggest issue is the small gang or solo war decker who was looking for fights in specific areas in hisec and are hunter killer types, they are finding their target pool severely reduced and it is those that are protesting and in danger of leaving.

That being said hisec corps needed a chance to grow so that is the lessor of two evils sad as it is.

No. Buy a mining permit instead of mindlessly quacking like a hen.

He’s not open for logic or reason. Look at his posting history. All he ever manages to do is being smug when he thinks he gets what he wants (a weakling pretending to be strong, because he beliees Big Brother is going to protecting from the real world) and in any other case he’s showing what’s hidden underneath: a whiny, helpless bitch.

This guy is literally an orwellian and doesn’t deserve any attention.

Edit: Editting the message, because I’m not willing to let people who really hate the truth get away with hiding it.

This “decline” is propaganda spit out by a minority that has other interests than the good of the game…their own convinience for example…unwilling to adapt to new situations they try to bite away even the slightest change to the better(of others). and even the dirt under the fingernails is already too much for others to get…

guys like you are the end of this game that’s for sure…

I’m right and you’re wrong that’s all that counts…

No need to “discuss” and throw out the same myth (eve will die without PVP in high" f.e.) over and over again…

The points are clear and CCP slowly is turning towards my opinion like it or not…war dec was just the beginning…more mainstream means more players and THIS is what Pearl abyss wants…

Forums are there for the purposes of discussion, many of us disagree with your opinion and we’re free to dispute it.

Citation needed, claiming to know what CCP and PA want is arrogant.
Claiming to know what other players want is also arrogant, especially when there is little evidence that the players you claim to speak for actually exist.

And ignoring the obvious because it does not fit in the own agenda is trumpisn at its best…

The course is clear and ignoring it will not help at all, neither to taunt those who see it changing will…

While there is a market for games with areas that are free from PvP, there is also a market for games with PvP everywhere.

Eve falls into the second group, and IMHO that’s one of the major contributing factors to its longevity; CCP have never tried to address the mainstream market because it’s too competitive, with hundreds of games offering variations on a theme.

To appeal to the mainstream audience Eve would probably need a complete rewrite.

It would probably be quicker and cheaper for PA/CCP to do a new game using the art assets already in Eve, instead of trying to adapt a niche game with a reputation of being too brutal for many, a UI that is unusual for a game and a game framework designed specifically to promote conflict between players.

BTW I’m not taunting you, I’m disagreeing with you.

I think that you’re wrong, primarily because you appear to have no idea of how Eve works or how to play it; nor are you willing to learn any better.

This game was originally designed by a man named Beck who decided to leave before the game was launched. Beck used to play Elite 1984 which is a space trading simulator where you were able to gank freighters and scoop their loot. Elite 1984 also had hi sec and null sec where you would be pursued by lots of police if your security level was low.

So Beck had the idea for Eve Online a multiplayer space simulator which is based on Elite 1982. The PVP you see happening now is part of the original design. It is marketed as a PVP game and people really shouldn’t be surprised to find PVP is one of its main features.

Pvp and ganking are a huge part of this game, as are war declarations. Anyone who disagrees with that is simply playing the wrong game. PVP is an integral part of the economy and without it less stock is sold, We could see the price of goods fall due to poor sales and everyone trying to get the first sale.

Well … yeah … but.

  1. You can’t do it, because you’re incapable of actually defending yourself, or attacking someone in person. You’d just get the tastebuds slapped out of your mouth, or just die.

  2. We can’t do it because people like you are cowards with no backbone, hiding in the forums.

Of course, and with some likeminded friends we are running a covert carebear elimination program:

You should post an open invitation.

Maybe?

Couldn’t be more stupid than that…the moment the PVP guys realize their “arguments” do not work they start to taunt or post crap like the above to distract from the topic so the threat will be closed…

Easy tactic…easy like those who use it…

That’s how you begin in threads…
