Let It RIP

Feelings mutual, I’m sure.

Unfortunately there are some, like @Radical_Posture who are unable to distinguish video games from real life.

That is very racist. We are learning something new about you every time you post.

I feel the same way… I’ve easily lost more than 50 billion isk from CCP crashing skin markets and this new market BS to stop players from laying on their market orders and using market alpha alts… CCP’s interference and rule changes has given no consideration to how players are already established in the game… On top of that, CCP are being total A-Holes about compensating players for losses incurred as a result of their interference in the game… CCP’s position is that it’s the player’s fault for not speculating that CCP could interfere and screw over their investments…which is total BS… Therefore, I’m on my way out of this game and will never give CCP another red cent for pulling this crap…

Adding to The River of Tears I see.

And if CCP made these changes without giving you prior warning, you would have an argument to make. Sadly, you had ample information and time. So you were given all the consideration in the world.

Yeah, its not CCPs fault for informing you of the changes, then you ignore or dont read the changes or changelogs and lose money because of it.

Its not CCPs fault that you refused or ignored their warnings about changes.

Youre basically saying “They added a new stop sign, no one told me about this new stop sign, and i plowed right through the intersection and crashed into a car. Its not my fault! The government should compensate me!!!”

CCPs position is that they published the changelogs in advance and when the release went live, the changelogs were available to all. If you dont read the changelogs, if you ignore the update, thats your own fault. And theyre right.

Good riddance, i say.

I used to sell a lot of loot to see my Isk total go upward. In my truncated play style it was a measure of success in the game. Now, with the market changes, I’m hoarding and using my “Total Net Worth” as a unit of measure. Yeah, I know it’s inaccurate, as all items are using estimates of market value, many of which are just plain stupid. One thing I know for sure, though, I am not throwing Isk down the broker fee rat-hole that just opened.

I’ve got plenty of Isk on hand to last me for years, and it slowly increases with bounties paid. When I finally bid goodbye to EVE (at or near my death) Eve University or other good organizations will get a windfall.

I could quit, but the focus and escape EVE provides keeps the current madness of reality at bay.

That wasnt very nice. No wonder you didnt enjoy this game. Your heart is filled with hatred and anger, mine is filled with love and compassion and niceness.

If you give all your ISK to an organization and later come back you’ll regret doing it, because you’ll have to start from scratch. And you always come back to EVE. Better give me the ISKies and I will multiply it for you. Still going strong despite the River of Tears patch as they called it

As for OP, I haven’t seen so much rage over a single change…Well, except maybe for Blackout. Markets adjust, people too, profits are still there, but if you keep insulting CCP your accounts won’t be…

@Aiko_Danuja will buy your whole pile of stuff through contracts if you want. No need to use the market at all.

Too late
In less than 10 hours I will be biomassing all my characters and removing around 100 billion isk from the game.
Lets see what that does for the economy.
Daisy, Daisy give me your heart to do
I’m half crazy, hopeful in love with you
It won’t be…a…

My advice here - don’t delete your characters, give yourself a break and when you stop giving a F for this change you’ll gladly return in search for new ventures.

I’ll tell you: it doesn’t change anything.

Maybe prices will be a little lower.

The average Titan loss is 80 Billion and they get killed every 2-3 days on average with no impact on the economy.

Oh. “I am a Titan pilot and I am leaving” certainly sounds less cool than “I have 100b ISK and I am leaving”.

Yeah, there’s lots of Titan pilots unsubscribed all the time.

He’s not really doing anything unique in removing a drop of ISK from the game.

He tried to make himself look important, he only succeeded in making himself look impotent.

There’s an old joke in there somewhere.

He’ll be back.
