Let's talk ticks!

And just how many work hours did you need to afford that 2000 plex, eh?

Also, I’d love to know how you convinced your boss to let you work 3 extra hours over the month so you could PLEX your EVE accounts. I have an easier time convincing EVE to let me play for a few extra hours to PLEX my stuff instead.

I mean, I’m sorry, but IRL work time is rarely equatable with spare play time.

Since when does your boss control your spending habits? Why would he have to work an extra 3 hours?

Who cares what you spend your money on. My point is that, for example, you cannot work 43 hours if you have a 40 hour employment contract. Whereas with EVE, you can always play for 13 hours instead of 10.

I see where you are going, playing the game longer costs you nothing, whereas buying that 2000 plex is money out of your bank account. However it still costs you time. So an hour or two of actual work to save possibly tens of hours of ratting is a good trade for many people.

In the past 21 days I’ve indulged myself in this “tick business”. I have averaged 595m an hour, so about 198m ticks.

Ship is a Machariel.

wow i fly 2 macharaels
1 armor and one shield
i dont make anywhere near that much money
maybe i should undock them from time to time

To be fair it’s a bump machariel and polarizd TFI. I describe how I get my dank ticks here:

i dont get it but it seems clever
are these suicide ganks or like a killright trick?
i dont expect you to explain it but i wouldnt mind helping out in your content creation free of charge
im gonna pm you in game if thats ok

Yeah send me a mail

nevermind i figured it out

 do you need an escort for your hauler?

ugh im torn
on the one hand it takes a lot of dedication to bump those clicks
on the other
i need an excuse to create some human rights issues
so we can get geneva convention like all the great content creators

All this discussion of how much per tick measured in ISK. I though this was a game we played for fun so one wonders how much fun per tick are all of you having?

The accumulation of ISK is not and should not be the ultimate goal in EvE, having just enough ISK so that you can go out and have fun doing what ever you want is the ultimate goal.

If you are one of those who find true joy in pursuing ISK in vast amounts then missions or ratting is not the way to accomplish it so this is not important.

So I guess the real thing here is unless we are playing the I am better than you game (measured in ISK per tick) then why are we even talking about this?

And just because it is the topic for this one my ticks on this character rarely break 10 mil to 15 mil because I simply do not give a damn about that, I fly what I want, when I want and do what I want. But I will tell you this I would rather fly dread pirate scarlet, worlds collide or any other level 4 mission in an assault frigate or destroyer than mindlessly nul rat for hundreds of millions of ISK per tick.

The way I see it is that getting more isk/hr means you need to spend less hours to get the same isk. So you can spend more time doing fun things in EVE.

Also, more ISK = more options for fun.

Let’s not make it a brag topic. Flying a thanatos with T2 fighters, Im getting around 50kk ticks.

It is basically a brag topic though. Also that is impressive for a carrier.

Your name is brag, your carrier poop is brag, all you do is brag about your bot carrier doing 200000000 sanctums in 4 seconds. You are the reason EVE is in this stale state of sooper-dooper online.

And no human being will make 300 million an hour in highsec doing missions, not now, not ever.

You must be from the colonies, only they talk such Ferengi crap like you do.

cough FW with a hecate cough

Way too much attitude.
