Suggestion: Add “Current Destination,” and “Free burn Yes/No” to the fleet window
Keywords: Fleets
Instead of spamming fleet chat and still having people miss it, it would be nice to have a persistent area on the fleet window to show current destination and also designate whether free burn is on or off that the FC (or a designated alternate) can update.
Suggestion: Organization for Item Hangar, Ship-Hangar, and Wallet
Keywords: ui, hangar, organization, wallet
Note: Container 01 - Items that spark joy
Filters, freight containers, ship naming schemes, all methods to work around what could be solved with a folder-like grouping mechanism. This could be something like ‘Hangar Bays’ and ‘Ship Maintenance Bays’
Additionally personal wallet divisions are similarly a lacking feature for organization of these very foundational elements of the game (Ships, Items, ISK)
Suggestion: In d-scan window, make mouse hover area of range and angle sliders to be equal to their visual presentation
Keywords: UI, bug
Currently in the d-scan window the sliders for range and angle have wrong mouse interaction boundaries (see screenshot). It makes it extremely hard to mouseover these sliders to click on them or control them with a scroll wheel.
Actual (red) UI interaction area for range slider vs expected (green):
Suggestion: The contract window should show Standing Tags in the Issuer column.
Keywords: UI, contracts, contract issuer, standings, standing tags
Note: It is very cumbersome to check if someone has bad standings for particular reasons. You can hide issuers but in certain circumstances, it is not advisable to do that in order to stay alert of new scam waves washing through the contracts so that you can warm others about them.
Add a small A(marr), C(aldari), G(allente) and M(inmatar) to the bottom of the ECM icons, enabling colorblind users to differentiate between the modules, currently separating gallente from caldari and amarr from minmatar is hard for me (red-green blind)
Suggestion: Make search boxes larger or auto-resize
Keywords: ui, search function,
Note: Make the search boxes (such as Inventory) resize, maybe with window width, as sometimes not being able to read the full text inside the window can make it hard to tell if you have the correct item or spelling etc.
Suggestion: Resize channel icons and add expand button
Keywords: ui, channel window, icons
Note: Tone down the size of the “+” and the lock icons in the channel windows and add a space where you can double/click to collapse the window or drag it around as it can be impossible to find an area when you have stacked channels.
*Edit: replace the Minimize stack button with the Expand button. It seems rare that channels will be minimized off-screen, and there is a shortcut available to do this. Expand/collapse is much more useful.
It would be great if there was a way to earn a faction logo unlock for a corp to be able to incorporate into their corp logo. This can be tied to corp average standings, bought only with corp LP (maybe evermarks) of that faction. It doesn’t need to be the full faction logo, could be just Guriastas Bunny ears for example.
Suggestion: Fix the name search in the HUD search bar (or prohibit names like E N I G M A)
Keywords: UI, search, search bar, hud, names, spaces in names
Note: The search bar does not recognize this above name as a whole entity in the search bar and I have to change settings to Exact to make the game recognize it. This is not ideal because Exact limits the search functionality for 99% of other cases. The search settings also do not transfer over to the Search Bar in the HUD, which means I still have to open the People Search window.
a) When NOT in compact mode, have the side menu be default icons only and pop-up text with mouse-over, and an option to expand the menu to see the text and be static. The constant sliding open and closed when hovering over gets a bit frustrating.
b) Have the image preview pop out from the right hand side when viewing SKINs. Currently, when in compact mode, you can only view the ship in the SKINs menu, but have to resize the window to see it, and when going back to another menu, the now wide window makes reading the other information hard (see images).
SKINs preview when in compact mode, widened to see ship
Instead of right-click → “bridge to,” make the Jump portal generator module an active module. I click to activate the module and it pops up the same jump options, opening vertically to the topside to avoid overlapping the menu with other ship modules.
Small quality of life change that would feel better than shifting through the right-click menu for the correct option.
Suggestion: Channel Information
Keywords: UI, channel, information
An option to see the owner/creator of a channel, the date it was created, and the number of people that have joined the channel. In replace of the “configuration” menu for channel that you own.
It can be frustrating when on the support page and there is no direct link back to the main page, when there is a link on the main page to the support page.
Keywords: ui, ship,
Note: Not give away information with your ship name
When I have many of the same ships with different fits in hangers and stations, I tend to give them names that refer to their fittings or purposes. I know others do too. If you could toggle to hide your ship name from others that would be a great help. It would then show the basic ship type instead (Gila instead of T3 Fire Abyssal).
(an alternative I have suggested in the past is to add a way to attach a note to each ship with info, but hiding the name seems less impactful to me).
Suggestion: Simplify the way characters are counted in the Notepad (and e-mail)
Keywords: ui, notepad, e-mails
Note: The way typed characters are counted towards the max allowed is confusing right now.
Notepad and e-mail have a current/max character count at the top right of the message. But the way the current characters add up is not only per character typed but also the font, whether they are linked, color, etc add to that number. A hard Enter to start a new line is also counted as characters (3 I think).
Example: I have a note with 5 star system names in it; without markup it is at 34/3900 characters. But if I add color and font stuff and link them to the actual systems the count for those same 5 systems is suddenly 665/3900.
I assume it is that way because all the code is counted towards the max and not just the characters. My suggestion is to count only the characters typed.
