Keywords: ui, overview, windows
Note: Useful when having to reinstall Eve from scratch
I recently purchased a new computer, but this also occurs on the occasion of having to re-install your OS for whatever reason. Logging back into Eve, you have to set up literally everything.
Overview - Reload any core packs & templates you used, and/or resize and move.
Scanning windows - If you undock the list window and keep it open (size and placement)
Hud - Overlay and other associated settings
Chat windows - re-connect to the chats you need, re-size, and move
Sidebar - Size and pinned icons
Overview settings - colors for different types of players (Hostile, neutral, War target, etc…)
Drone Window - Size, placement, and saved groups
Fleet Watchlist - Size and Placement
See, that’s a lot of stuff, and I probably forgot to list some. It would be extremely useful if there was an ability to export your current setup of all settings as a profile that could be saved on a cloud service (Onedrive, dropbox, etc.), so that when you have to start from scratch, you can just import the profile and Tada! Everything is as it was.
Internal consistency within the game? Have pirate faction for most combat ships, not a massive logical jump to think that they might have their own haulers too (esp when you consider that there are pirate haulers that appear on belts from time to time)
Let the collectors collect stuff. Pirate haulers would be one of the cheapest things mind you as it’s as simple as slapping some stats and a new skin on existing hauler models without a need to make new models.
Keywords: ui
Note: 25% gaps are too big above 125%
The UI Scale options currently include 100%, 110%, 125%, and 150%. It would be incredibly useful to have more granular options, particularly between 125% and 150%.
Suggestion: Allow for multi-removal of items from the compare list in the Compare tool.
Keywords: UI, compare, modules,
Note: You can highlight several rows in the compare tool, but as soon as you rightclick a module, the multi-highlight disappears and you can only remove one entry. This is abysmal UX.
Suggestion: If the above is too hard to code, add an (X) button to each line for easier removal of rows.
Keywords: UI, compare, modules
Note: Make it easier to remove compare list entries.
Suggestion: More like a fix: If I copy some value from the Buy Order setup window, for instance, it should only copy the value, not formatting tags or “ISK” at the end.
Keywords: UI, copy paste, number values
Note: Copying the total value from the buy order window copies “<color=white>88.913.029.775,19 ISK” instead of just the number. This is useless if you want to use the value externally.
More smarter Market Auto-complete. e.g. If I want ‘strong booster’ it shouldn’t show nothing found but:
Strong Blue Pill Booster
Strong Crash Booster
Strong Drop Booster
Strong Exile Booster
Strong Frentix Booster
Strong Mindflood Booster
Strong Sooth Sayer Booster
Strong X-Instinct Booster
Let’s save users some time and headaches.
Suggestion: Be able to put characters manually on a chat’s Muted List.
Keywords: UI, chats, chat moderation, penalties, mute, kick
Note: You can manually put chars/corps on the Blocked list for chat. The same should be possible for Muted so that moderation can observe some behaviors and trigger offender actions.
Suggestion: The Air Daily Goals Notifications should always send you to the Monthly Track page and never to the individual goals to make it easier to grab all rewards with one click instead of fumbling around with the UI to get to the All Rewards page.
Keywords: UI, Opportunities, rewards, unnecessary mouse clicks,
Note: pictures below
Please add a simple and clean readout in the fitting window’s right side info panel that shows a ship’s total mining M3/s from all combined sources (Lasers and drones) in the same way it shows DPS. Even a dropdown on the DPS section like the defense section has would be very nice QoL over having to math out every single fit by hand.
Suggestion: When I export Overview settings whole, it should keep the window layout in the settings when I import them.
Keywords: UI, overview, export, import, window, multi overview
Note: Importing overview that were exported from a char with several windows stacks all tabs into one window in the importing char. Not ideal or intuitive.
Suggestion: Little corp description in alliance window.
Keywords: UI, alliance, corp, recruitment
Note: 1 column main languge, recruitment status open/close. novice friendly yes/no.
For eg im from Russia(China, any other) and want join Goons. idk wich corps can speak my language. I can just open alliance info and take all info that i need.
p.s. Sorry for mad paint skills. havent time to make it good.
Suggestion: The righclick options on things that you already have as waypoint/destination should clearly say so instead of giving the “Set Desto” option.
Keywords: UI, routes, destinations, contracts, pickup locations, locations
Note: You do not immediately see if you have set something as desto, waypoint already. The option Set Desto deletes all other waypoints if you accidentally click it.
–
This is the right click menu for a location that’s already in the route:
Suggestion: Related to the above: Instead of calling it “Set Desto”, it should be “Remove Desto” to make the option more useful and easier to understand.
Keywords: UI, routes, destinations, contracts, pickup locations, locations
Note: IT is already a desto, why set it again. In addition to the line “Already in your route”, the option “Remove Desto” would be more helpful and easier to understand.
Not going to lie, my hangars are messy and flooding with inventory. So when I’m in the fitting screen and push “Unfit modules” could we move those modules to the ships cargohold instead of the hangar?
Suggestion: Similar to the Contact Label tag on the Avatar in the Char Info, there should be a Blocked icon in the same area to quickly show if a char is blocked.
Keywords: UI, char info, info window, chat, blocked
Note: Chat lists already show if a char is blocked, but I should not be required to scroll or rightclick a char to see that. I should be able to see this in the Char’s Info window.
–
You could also move all these tags and icons (standing, label, blocked, future additions) outside the Avatar window to a row just below the picture. That way, they would be easier to see, read and use and colors from the avatar picture would not interfere with legibility of these icons.
