Little things / Small QoL suggestions

… Why?

Suggestion: The Security Status value in the Char Info should be colored, red for below -5, yellow between -5 and 0 and, white for 0 to 1, green for above 1.
Keywords: UI, char info, info window, security status, value, colors
Note: Make it easier to see who’s a bad boy/girl and utilize the new design capabilities better.

grafik

Suggestion: Ban Rules in a chat need to apply immediately after the Ban Reason takes effect, not after the next login or DT.
Keywords: chat, chat moderation, moderation, blocked list, list ban
Notes: –

–

When a corp/alliance is banned in a chat and someone previously not part of that group joins that group, the ban of that C/A does not apply to that char and the char cannot be kicked properly either. Mods have to remove the C/A from the ban list and re-add it to be able to kick that char out of a chat.

Suggestions: Mailing Lists need a new setting “Open to Public (with timer)” and timers of x h, x d.
Keywords: UI, mailing list, mail, access, timer
Note: Give mods ways to automatically remove people from specific mailing list that do not need public users in it for longer than the x amount of time.

–
This is helpful for public moderation mailing lists where public users can bring stuff to the attention of mods but don’t need to stay in that list for long.

Suggestion: Hovering over a bookmark in the Locations in System window should highlight that bookmark in the System map.
Keywords: UI, map, system map, F9, locations, bookmarks

Suggestion: Clicking on a bookmark in the Locations in System window should center the System Map on that bookmark.
Keywords: UI, map, system map, F9, locations, bookmarks
Note: Clicking on the bookmark in the F9 map already does that, there’s no reason why LiS shouldn’t do the same.

Suggestion: Fleet Finder in “All Available Fleets” needs the columns “Alliance” and “Corp” to sort fleets by alliance for better sorting of what’s available to you.
Keywords: UI, fleet window, fleet finder
Note: … without having to use the Availability filter, which is annoying to reset every time you need different fleets visible to you.

If you have to ask, you haven’t been targeted by anyone in eve before. Even an unfortunate friend who passed away had ships delivered to their character in a station in which you cant trash assets if its Reinforced. Its also one sided because you can eject it from the station if its in an area where asset safety doesn’t exist, in which you would need access to (if its someone who just plunks down a structure and delivers thousands of t1 ships/shuttles in your name, you now receive endless spam of notifications, killmails, losses against your will with no counter play.

oh that’s an oddly specific case. I was figuring you were suggesting it more for an attempted scam avenue (Make contract to an NPC station, but set yourself so you can never receive said delivery and end up getting the collateral)

Its so common that a 3rd party tool to track killmails came out with a sub-category like (solo) or (ganked) where there is another called PADDING and it can be seen daily from corporations and alliances alike sending enemies troll deliveries (1 t1 hauler can bring in hundreds of these ships and spam hundreds of characters. Now add thousands and multiboxers spamming unaccessable and no counter play en masse to any station kill ever since upwell structures came out.

On top of, multifit makes it easier with 1 round of ammunition in cargo as a “fit”. This is also used to server lag spike people as a combat tool for people fighting in pochven or null systems alike with corporate hangars en masse items moved/assembled/delivered to.

hah, if it’s causing lag spikes like that, almost seems like it’d run into violating TOS #16

Suggestion: Indicator for when you are in deadspace

Keywords: ui, anomalies, faction warfare, missions

Note: Deadspace has specific restrictions, but there is only the error message when you get restricted to let you know

Deadspace is both commonly occuring and somewhat obscure. Currently, it’s mostly just experience that informs a pilot whether they are in deadspace or not. For example, many grids with an acceleration gate are deadspace, but not all (e.g. the Amarr Epic arc final mission of The Old Guard chapter: The Right to Rule). Newer players are often confused and even experienced players don’t understand deadspace fully. It’s a common source of pitfalls, I think.

My suggestion is a UI indicator, perhaps a bubble next to the cap wheel just like all the other beacon/weather/environmental/remote effects.

The tooltip of this could be helpful, listing restrictions. However, even if it was as vague as the “natural phenomena” error it would still be a considerable QoL improvement in my opinion.

Suggestion: The Wallet tab Market Transactions should have a button to open the Market Orders.
Keywords: UI, wallet, market, transactions, market orders, window
Note: That’s the tab where you see most of your market activity but you have no way to conveniently check the orders.

Suggestion: The Station/Structure info window should have the same Route tab that the System info window has.
Keywords: UI, info windows, route, route finding, systems
Note: This tab is very helpful in figuring out where exactly something is, for instance, from a current location.

Suggestion: add a clear button for the multibuy feature.

i want to quickly compare things and everytime i need to close the multibuy and open it again or delete all the items from it.

Suggestion: Add Reinforcement Mechanics Descriptions to relevant Info Panels

Keywords: ui, information, qol

I would like to be able to find a description of the reinforcement mechanics of a given structure or deployable on its information panel.

As many different structures and deployables as there are, the details of its reinforcement mechanics should be in the information panel. It’s a pain to have to go to the eve-uni wiki every time I touch something I haven’t used in a while, and I can only imagine the headache for new players. Take a page from the new wormhole info panel.

Please update description of citadels in game to show what can dock and what cannot.
