Keywords: ui, shortcut, tag
Note: There are shortcuts to tag items from sequence (1 through 9, A through I, etc), but there is no easy way to see where you are in the sequence.
I’m envisioning that when you hold down the tag hotkey, a small number/letter would appear either next to the cursor, or below the HUD where the “tagging in progress” message is displayed.
See pic: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Additionally would it be possible to have a “reset tag” hotkey added?
Either for both numbers and letters, or optionally for each sequence independently?
Say if you tag 1-6, instead of cycling the 6 to a 7, then to an 8, and to a 9 in order to start tagging at 1 again, and at this point risking an over click tagging the wrong thing 1.
It would be nice to be able to tag 1-6, then hit the hotkey and be ready for the next set of tags.
Instead of waiting for players to notice unusual player behaviors, navigate to the character sheet and then find the report bot button, before moving onto the next character to do the same… hopefully before they all log off and you can’t select them to report.
Why not run a script at FenC HQ that simply adds a character name to local for a few seconds before removing it again.
The script can then examine the activities of all characters in that system for bot like actions and escalate them as if a player had reported them.
Fenris Creations already have, I’m sure, an automated system in place that’s looking for bot like behaviours. Along with the many player reports they receive. There is just too much data in the server logs for them to run a log check of a particular player’s activities, at player’s request.
All MMO games have issues with botting, it’s just a fact of some people wanting to exploit a game’s economy for RL profits.
I like your idea for making reporting Bots a lot easier - like a button on the character info sheet or in the r-click menu of a character’s name - by bringing up a “Report”-form requesting relevant information and descriptions which when submitted creates a Support Ticket (like how it does with bug reports). Having to tab out of game to go to the support page can be very annoying.
The SKINs are not dead. There are just no available Sell/Buy orders for the particular ones. Some SKINs are only available during specific times of the year and thus can run dry (or sit in players’ hangars).
Suggestions: A Favorite category for chat channels so that we don’t have to sift through all chats to find the one we want to join/rejoin/link in chats.

Suggestion: Ability to share Notepad notes with ACL.
Keywords: ui, notes, notepad, share note, acl
Note: We already have ACLs, let’s use them!
(apologies if my search-fu wasn’t good enough to find this already suggested)
When I’m playing on my miner and I need to buy something, I would DEARLY love to be able to just pop up my shared “Shopping List” note and slap it in there so the next time my Market alt goes to the market I don’t have to remember or swap around multiple characters to figure out what to buy.
(Bonus: My corp can have a dedicated Market purchaser to do the whole corp at once)
Suggestion: Mission HUD elements in collapsed state should clearly tell me when the mission objectives are done.
Keywords: UI, missions, HUD, mission objectives
Note: The HUD row should be green with a check mark when the mission objective is done.
Suggestion: Standing changes in the Char Window should be color coded.
Keywords: UI, character window, standings, standing changes, color, color coding
Note: Green for positive, red for negative standing changes
Suggestion: Add excluded keybinds list, so we can Push-to-Talk without interrupting EVE Online keybinds like Lock Target
Keywords: ui, keybinds, 3rd party, communication, Discord, Teamspeak, Mumble, push to talk, PTT
Since fleet comms are a major thing in this game and many players partake, channel discipline is often enforced first of all by requiring everybody use Push-to-Talk. In EVE Online, this creates a conflict with ongoing keybinds - I cannot hold down CTRL to lock targets and be talking at the same time, since EVE thinks I’m holding down CTRL+F24 or whatever. I did bind Lock Target to CTRL after all, not to CTRL+F24.
If however you add an option to set buttons that EVE should ignore, then that would make the whole problem go away.
Edit: THIS IS NOT A POST ABOUT WHAT KEYBIND PTT IS ON.
It’s about EVE Online not being able to ignore whatever button PTT is on, which breaks the ability to target anything while speaking.
Because that doesn’t do anything about EVE Online keybinds getting interrupted? Put it on whatever key you want, including on other devices, EVE Online still doesn’t let you hold down both that key and your keybind for Lock Target, to, well, lock targets.
You have to release your PTT button if you want to use any of the hold-and-click keybinds in the game. (Select, Look At, Lock Target, Track, Orbit, Approach, Align, Warp, Jump/Dock/Activate, etc.)
Keywords: ui, overview, drones
Note: Useful for replanishing drone bay mid fight
When I am in a ship with constrained drone bay and my single drone gets in others’ way, I would like to have overview setting or option to see any drone blue or red that is without owner, and I would like to sort them to closest and re-own them.
I realise its a very specific thing or setting for the overview, but maybe “abandoned ships” toggle might also be a second option please
Keywords: ui, info, mutaplasmid
Note: Useful when comparing to non- rolled items
When I’m comparing items to their abyssal counterparts the order of attributes inside info window does not match. Will appreciate the same order of attributes.
Suggestion: Display Total Skill Points Required in Skill Plans.
Currently, the Skill Plan interface only shows the estimated training time, but does not display the total Skill Points (SP) required. This makes it less convenient to use. I suggest adding a feature to show the total SP needed for a skill plan.
Suggestion: Backwards and forwards in Fitting window
Keywords: ux, fitting window, window session
Note: Idea from Info window backwards and forwards buttons that keep their own history until closed
When I am theorycrafting with fittings, i often find myself needing to go backwards for a hot second - not only between different ship fits but also between module changes.
There is already “proper” logic set up in Information window - ability to go back and then forward again.
Whish for: similar, but make it like in for example in music player, as in:
“<” goes one module back
“<<” goes 10 module changes back
“|<<” goes a ship change
when you go back, you can also go forward easily - or you go back through the history and continue from a mid-point
“>”, “>>”,…
This “history” could stay within a window session, meaning if you “x” the fitting window, the session history is cleared and lost.
Keywords: ux, nicknames, capsule
Note: capsule looses player changed nickname after ship change
When I change ship, like a downgrade from battleship to escape frigate, the escape frigate keeps its nickname, but when i continue downgrading to capsule, the capsule loads the original name, while i would like to have a custom one.
Suggestion: Ability to “Fit Ship” & “Multi-fit” from ALL Containers within Item Hangar
Keywords: ui, multibuy, fitting, QoL
Note: Useful for easily replenishing cargoholds properly.
When I’m buying stuff from a market, say in like Jita to outfit my Flycatcher, I want the Fitting window to pull from all available sources in my item hangar, that includes containers ect to meet the fitting requirements of items & ammo/charges ect.
Suggestion: Remove the minimum width restriction on UI windows.
Keywords: UI, window scaling, watchlist
Note: Useful optimizing sceen space
This allows players to optimize screen space by narrowing windows down to just their vital visual elements, such as health bars or broadcast colors, while hiding unnecessary text.
