I’m surprised ratting dreads are not used more often then as I have seen some amazing things from people like Lasker, which I think would be a lot harder to kill than a carrier.

I like this idea, I can go mine in more dangerous space without being swarmed by 15 t2 frigs/ destroyers looking for content. That really grinds my gears. “Oh look, a noob has wandered into low sec in a mining ship, let’s blap them” and they can tell that by looking at local and zkillboard. I welcome the fact that more effort will be required to identify threats/nuets. Low sec corps usyly have some sort if Intel channel in game third party. Give us wanting to sneak by an edge please!

To be honest If a ratter miner is > 14 au from any gate/sun the chance of anyone knowing they are there will be almost 0 after this patch lol, unless the hunter is a die hard scout who searches everywhere which is pretty rare most people are lazy xD.

A drop in the ocean by now but i want to express my overwhelming support for this change \o/ this is exactly what eve needs. All these whales with 10 or more krabbing accounts rage quitting need to to take a step back and have a think about how much damage they have done to this game. Every ‘unsubbing x accounts’ post simply reinforces why this is absolutely spot on. The game really will be better of without you.

Not when they are rooted in place for 5 minutes. The guys doing videos are perfect skilled with multi-billion isk fits. If it were that easy everyone would be doing it.

Except when we go hunting we choose destinations based on ratting delta in dotlan. It’s pretty effective at finding where stuff is going on.
At the same time, yes. Isn’t it funny how people are ignoring that fact?

Ratters can look at dotlan too and go to places where it shows as empty 
the smart will flourish, ps dotland doesn’t update very often.

After yet another nerf they’re having a hard time even scratching a bomber without superiority fighters, and guess how many non-pvp carriers actually carry those? Even if they do, they have to re-tube sirens and superiority fighters, and all you need to counter that is a few extra bombers so they die even sooner before they can do it, but generally they don’t have them and just die unable to do anything.
Except botters are able to gather intel using bots and are largely unaffected, carebears are much smarter than ganktards and will simply stay docked, so all you’ll have is empty space of a dead game everywhere outside supercap umbrellas, and titan gatecamp inside. have fun.
I mean if your ratting in a carrier chances are you have an alt to cyno with they can train the alt into a loki and wipe out the entire enemy fleet attacking the carrier.
Or they can just swap to a different ship instead of ratting in a carrier, if they are ratting with a carrier they have isk and should use that isk then to defend against attacks instead of running.
But you will still lose at life with your salt lol
