Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

lol, just lol, I live in null and this is a great change, eve has become way too easy, null sec is just a carebear/bot heaven

We have evidence it works though. Most profitable ratting in Eve is in wormholes. 600 million on average per site… and I’ve never seen a bot.
Input broadcasters, yes. 20 man multiboxers… there’s a few. But bots like we see in nullsec roams? Not even once.

No one stops you from locking them out of their hole. Get some hole rollers and burn their exit.
No one stops you from forming cohesive fleets and battle concepts to fight these kinds of players.
No one stops you from forming a counter-fleet and use it smartly.

Well, some people do. Those are the people that dock up in a station the second any neut comes around, rather than grouping up to fight them and stand to defend their space.

also back to 2010 when d-scan was impossible during warp

Don’t teach them to roll us out, it’s the best way to get us to bail, suicide roll and most wormholers will leave rather than risk being rolled out.

I know!

But that’s the thing. People are so blindly obsessed with safety and their ability to dock up, that they are unwilling to put any assets on the field to kill a wormhole rapidly. Or to grab ships together and cohesively attack the enemy to drive them out of their lands.

No, instead, to people like @Orca_Platypus it is more acceptable to just hide up like a coward in their station, praying for the bad men to go away. That ■■■■ needs to stop, and if you can’t handle that then head back to HS-space and do not deploy any structures.

There is no intel that can prevent hotdrops. Simply none.

And get teamdropped. Fun!

The hardest target to gank is the target that does not undock. Did we win?

Literally 4th time in this thread - because unlike pvp, pve is hard, there are literally not a single fit in existence that can do both, and not only that, but any attempt to combine pve and pvp can’t do either. Ratting in pvp ships would also not work, because at best, ganktard will run when he sees a pvp ship, and you lost ticks while gaining nothing, and at worst, you die just as well as you die in a pve ships, but gaining much less in progress.
I afraid anyone even thinking of making “combine” argument is just hopelessly dumb.

I’d be hisec player all day, but CCP ruined hisec with Odyssey and subsequent patches, making it simply no longer playable. I’m in null not because I want to be in null, but because hisec is ■■■■.

You have no reading comprehension?

I PROPAGATE A SPACE THAT NEEDS TO BE UNSAFE FOR EVERYONE.

But currently, nullsec is 1000000000% safe for ganktards of all kinds, wormchickens or not, because anything but free kills show up, and they run and cry about “blobbing” and “counters”. When the risk/reward for them is at least close to risk/reward for me, we’ll talk.

Curretnly you’re just spewing demagogy while enjoying completely risk-free trips to null where you can run to your hidey-hole like a chicken you are should you see anything that has 1% chance of killing you, and there’s no way I can stop, or catch, or threaten your hole.

Risk/reward should be equal is what I’m saying, and you’re the aids that thinks I am a free content for your chicken ass.

can i have ur stuff ?

Did that last time. They went back in another hole 6 jumps out. Lost some rollers, achieved absolutely nothing but feeding rollers, and that is the best possible outcome you have for me? ■■■■ you.

Game mechanics that favor the chicken who hides in their hole should anything threatening appear.

You are in your hole trembling and panic-rolling the moment we get a single dread out, no matter how we use it, you’ll close your hole before it arrives, chickens.

Because there is risk but absolutely no reward undocking into chickens that would run if you counter them, and kill if they counter you. We get short stick both ways, so we have no reason to undock.

Bye Bye Bedlicka

I will not miss you
:kissing_heart:

Open probe scanner window. See a new cosmic signature ( i.e., look for entry that is blank with Red Cross on left ) and generate alert to bot-lord to do a scan while bots dock. The rabid foaming about how this change will impact botting makes it out like the current crop of bots are too stupid to just warp to a citadel when a red enters local already.

Ironically Brave Newbies will put up a better fight than anyone else. Most groups will drop caps on a dozen T3D’s But Brave has the balls to bring out a subcap fleet and learn how to counter us. They don’t win often… but when they do they damn well earned the right to feel proud and powerful.
No matter what their SP is I respect them more than any other NS group.

because its too comfortable that’s why null is in a stalemate when was the last great titan clash a real shift in powers. your all too comfortable building titans but never using them

Sounds like you suck at fighting small gangs. Its absolutely no different from small null gangs. Also a guy with a big fleet is a coward if he’s calling a weaker avoiding fleet chickens. We don’t play to lose but we also don’t just dock up and quit like you do when outmatched.

So you basically give people free kills until they start liking you and come for free kills more often?
I’d rather not undock then become a sheep like that.

Bots can’t scan down sigs. Or at least nobody has designed one to yet. They just dock up and/or leave system.

Wow, I have not seen this much retardation in a single post. It is so bad that I wonder if the last few remaining braincells I had left functioning, might’ve just died.

There is no intel that can prevent hotdrops. Simply none.

Of course there are. Control the entrances to your pocket/systems. Ensure that wormholes get closed before a session and regularly have a team mate run through the cluster to see if anything new pops up. But that requires you to work together.

And get teamdropped. Fun!

Then you failed at ensuring your space is guarded and deserve to die. It is your responsibility to make security possible with your organisation and if you let them hotdrop you without a shred of intel, you either are baiting, OR your organisation is so dumb they can not even manage access to their space.

But yes, it does happen people may drop. Part of the game.

PVE isn’t hard. Once your fit is sorted, for all but the hardest sites, there is no difficulty to it. Is it annoying to have multiple ships and fits for different content? Maybe. But it isn’t hard at all. Learn the mechanics, pay attention to flying your ship right (i.e. transversal) and it is currently a cakewalk.

I’d be hisec player all day, but CCP ruined hisec with Odyssey and subsequent patches, making it simply no longer playable. I’m in null not because I want to be in null, but because hisec is ■■■■.

Not really an argument, I’d argue that high-sec for krabs is even better now that you can dip out of wardecs with your friends and be “impervious” to all but suicide ganks or your own stupidity.

Curretnly you’re just spewing demagogy while enjoying completely risk-free trips to null where you can run to your hidey-hole like a chicken you are should you see anything that has 1% chance of killing you, and there’s no way I can stop, or catch, or threaten your hole.

I live in Immensea on the front line with WinterCo. while battling a bitter battle over the space. I deal with incursions of both our enemies, random roamers, hotdroppers and wormholers daily on this toon and multiple alts. I used to be a wormholer, but left that space due to the time commitment it requires.

So I have been on both sides of the fence. I see what happens when wormholers fight their battle, and I see what wormholers are up against when they engage in a region. There are easy solutions towards that challenge in your space which discourage the likeliness that they target you.

In our space, wormholes get closed rather rapidly. As a result, many groups that don’t pay attention get locked out or don’t want to stray too far from their home. Is that a solution? Yes. I may personally not like being the guy to roll content away, but in the end the options are there if you’re not a coward and head out there.

Womrchickens play “run to hole and panic roll”, which is even more pathetic, because not only they won’t fight, but also abuse favorable hole safety mechanics.
It doesn’t matter how good you are at small fleets if wormchickens won’t fight you unless they reliably kill you, they won’t even engage smaller fleet crying that you have X people logged in next system ready to blob them and they “aren’t stupid”.
