Local Comms Blackout - Discussion Thread

You DO remember that this is a game, right?

/me playing other games in the mean time

Absolutely not. This change makes it feasible to go actually after the bots trough wormholes and other means. It will make it easier to observer and trap them if you can be in the same system without them having any chance of knowing you are there. This will be the end of botting in null.

i keep seeing the term free intel. if your refereing to them showing in local then sure i guess it could be free intel but then that would go for everywhere and shoudl be a 100%removal from everyhwere including high sec by that argument. however if your refereing someone putting the name of the pilot into a chat channel so people down the pipe knows about them then im lost because its not free its another pilot putting time effort and isk on the line down the road to help the further and will still happen with current itll be an alt on the gate watching every new entry into system and out except now itll be more perfect as they will also see and know their exit not last seen here.

Falcon - just wanted to chime in and say not everyone in Delve is a basic sandy vaginaed whiner. I for one welcome these changes. We’ve only been asking for them for like a decade and a half

Sorry, nullsec is not for the little guy. Taking a risk means taking a risk, you seem incapable of understanding that if you think there needs to be a new way to be 100% secure there will be none. HTFU

A total black out makes little sense. What should be done is allow system scanners that relays the information to who ever controls the system wants with a possibility of a covert system scanner in the future. Anyone who drops gate cloak without immediately activating their own cloaking device should show up on said scanner.

You are naive.

You can already “go after them” from wormholes. In fact after this change the ONLY way you will get past an organised botting crew IS through a wormhole.

To achieve this you want to sh!t on 90% of the rest of small alliances and organisations outside of the big blocs just so you can grind your crotch into a botters face.

Gen Zero, the true cancer of the game.

No. then the change is moot and the balance goes COMPLETELY to the defenders. That makes the game even more safe for risk averse trolls, and the isk farming bots and RMT shitheads.
How about you harden the ■■■■ up, learn to defend the space that you’re claiming.

This DiamondDallas dummy doesn’t seem to want to accept that this change will make life much harder for botters. For some reason he pretends it won’t affect them, when it’s clear that it will greatly impact on them.

The fact is the bots have no way to know if someone is local with them. They won’t bother leaving bot scouts on gates, because that method is seriously flawed. Even if they did do that, it doesn’t stop players from entering the system then cloaking up or logging off for a few hours until the bots think it’s safe again. Once cloaked hunters are in the botters system there is no way for the botter to know if it’s safe or not. Botter salt best salt.

well thats not true actually allainces are made up of corps corps are made up of individual little guys. Make it too hard to survive as a little guy which most of eve is made up of then the industry calapses. We rely on rating and mining to fuel the cost of ships being blated.

I honestly and starting to think this prick runs a bot.

What are you even talking about? Yes it is free intel and it is an issue in nullsec. I don’t care if this gets removed in highsec, I would find that pretty funny, but it’s not the same issue as it is in null where bots and farmers have perfect intel for zero effort. In Highsec you have always neutrals in local, so it isn’t as efficient and free as in nullsec.

No, I was referring to seeing who is with you in system and not about intel channels. Not sure why you think I was talking about that. You will still be able to watch the gates, it’s just more effort.

Glad to be of service

Nonsense. The holder of a system should be in control over surveillance and oversight of it.

Absolutely. So actively camp gates. Then you’re in complete control over the surveillance.

No one from CCP or the CSM are stupid enough to reply here. No matter what they said, it would be taken out of context and convoluted to fit their needs, It would just throw more fuel on the fire.

I bet Brisc thanks his lucky stars to be out of the middle of this one.

Sweet summer child! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

If the losses outweigh the gains, then you suck, and need to go back to carebear space.
I’ve been in null and jspace and always have made isk in the end. And I’m making ISK while I’m schooling retards like yourself. Which means that it can be done even while partially AFK typing up ■■■■ in forums. Seriously grow up and learn to fight for the space you have.
