Moving that ore is likely way more of a PITA than moving blue loot though. Can carry 7bn in a tiny ship
Making all anomalies and ore fields ( the ones from iHub upgrades ) a kind of cosmic signature that must be scanned down is an excellent idea. It will slow down the super ratters and it will make hunters actually hunt, rather than just warp to the colossal belt/sanctum and see who they can point first.
People need to stop thinking they are only PvP or PvE. Step outside of High security space and your corporation is now PvA.
If I wanted no local information, I would live in a WH
yall had your head up your hindquarters until just now. but you finally got with the fortress/umbrella field and forts meta.
Mixed bag on that. Anoms increase the reward of the system, and since people have to actually be seen, warp to the anom, point something⌠its not providing as much risk, if they now have to stop, scan down, then warp.
That just puts all the risk back where it is now, onto the hunter, and provides even more of a safety net to the AFK peeps. Plus its easier to bot⌠dscan, see probes via OCR, warp to safe.
This is a good way of framing the argument⌠if CCP promote non-consensual PvP, what is the issue with the promotion of non-consensual PvE? Its quite a way to spin the tired old argument of âBy undocking you consent to PvPâ onto its head with âIf you do not undock, you consent to PvEâ as the drifters pound your castle down around you?
How does it feel to be the 25th person to beg for ISK?
Itâs in the ballpark of 3/4 the potential of nullsec mining ore wise. Though naturally your limited to mining moons so thereâs a lot of setup cost. Overall itâs still much better than hisec and lowsec.
They should spawn hard in low ADM systems where the sovereignty component of the ADM is high and the Industry/Military index is low. Make the pain even worse if the system owner isnât consistent across the constellation to prevent crappy pipe systems getting farmed off to a bunch of corps just to game ADM index by having multiple Sovereignty Capital systems in a constellation. Too much of Null is still empty space and those whoâs flag flies over it donât have people actually active doing âstuffâ which was the whole point of ADM based sovereignty to begin with.
Isnât this blackout about null local changing?
Better add combat probes to that fit - my Rook wont be on D-scan
I edited this so I could read it, as a quick skim looked interesting but between managing 4 toons and alcohol, that wall of text hurt my brain.
I agree. They may not see it yet, but I think this will force these guys into smaller areas, their control will be hindered massively. At least I think it will⌠imagine their gears are already spinning up a way to counter this or find some system to just keep the status quo.
I really hope that this doesnât come to TQ. I hope that removal of local will be enough of a programming hurdle to plain out stop the botters permanently.
That is honestly what they probably did to reach this decision. Many software engineers in gaming (and other) industries actively look for and download malicious software to tear it apart and find out how it ticks and how they can combat it.
Itâs actually refreshing to see that someone other than the select few see that new players are safer in jspace than in null space. Iâve been telling people that for ages.
And if you have a corp, itâs even easier.
I think that since youâll not have to worry about instant intel, youâll likely find that once you adjust, youâll be able to make even more via mining and ratting than you did before.
I hope that this is the case, especially since more and more Chinese players appear to be getting on EvE.
They shouldnât bring in any kind of detector, or other mitigation, to bring back any form of local as it currently exists â it will favor the botters and AFK people just as instant local already does, which would be counter-productive.
Iâm not sure what to make of this bit, could you please clarify?
I wouldnât say older players are the problem, though they have definitely gotten very VERY fat on abusing the current and past systems. Over time without local, losing ships and such, theyâll hopefully skinny up a good bit.
Thanks for the diligence, and hopefully bots will soon be as dead as the dinosaurs.
You too. Thanks for typing this up, I knew it took time with the language barrier. Just, please use paragraphs to group thought-trains (similar thoughts) together next time. It helps a lot when reading.
I can get up to 123km in a Manticore
but -Then you have to take off missile range modules and targeting range mods - which drops it to about 95km
not only that but⌠by the time your torps hit, Iâd have warped off
It would seem via your zkillboard that statements like this might be driven more by the inability to master the simple art of krabbing than an actual dislike of the gameplay. Really, this is a exemplary lesson on what is truly damaging the game, it seems most of the successful activity has been to blob a few unfortunate souls and when left to your own devices, a far more amusing outcome is the result. This game would be better if this story told by zkillboard was the exception, rather than the norm.
So much of EVE marketing is about these big fleet fights where individual acts have meaning, yet is it really the height of PvP to just be one of over 100 muppets in titans waiting for a cyno, or one of 1000 plebs in a battleship congo line pushing F1?
Jesus the burn on this is real. Litsea, i donât wanna ever get in an argument with you. I think Iâd turn into bacon.
Exactly my point.
âŚor run it with a maxed out intel mindlinked command hull hullâŚnone of which are BLOPS capable (command T3c got nerfed) Which I am not certain would give you the lock range to play out there. Should be pretty close though.
Is it possible, instead of unsubbing, players could use ingenuity by:
- using alts as bait for roving gangs/cloakies
- stay tuned somehow to damage/ewar notifications
Once notified, either spring the trap or donât. Either way you gain intel from the sacrifice, better than the local ever could. And, a devious leader could stage losses strategically in order to lure enemies into a strangle hold.
A whole new door is being opened with this change. We walk away from it, or we go through it.
Yay another nullbear going . Bye Bye
