Most of the blackout supporters seem to be wormholers that understand how no local works and realize it’s not that big a deal.
Me, I’m just mostly explaining it on my main waiting and hoping for ingame bounties that haven’t happened. (Seriously, show some displeasure by bountying me, make someone’s day!)

Bought a scorpion that happened to be in a High security island. Got the bustard in one way, waited until after downtime. Ran into elite PvP after downtime in the form of a single Phobos, who had friends.
How would have removing local helped with this situation when they obviously had people in system, ready to go?
What, because two bombers blowing up a MTU is elite PvP ? I bet it took more torpedo’s to kill than a retriever.
Come into high security space, you can PvP me as much as you want, but I’ll bet concord kills you every time.

They sure have this month if their intention was to bring back the pvp that makes the game fun and get rid of the freeloading carebears that want bubblewrapped pods and isk handed to them on easy mode.

The mechanisms of null were unsustainable for CCP in long run, they had to change it.
You had years and years of time to accumulate wealth, now you will have to use that wealth. If you still want to own wealth, there are still better options than grind, its PLEX.
Thats what CCP cares about too. Amount of PLEX sold.

The problem is not just you have to react like a ninja bot to it, but you’re dead regarless, and you cyno is down, anyone arriving to it is tossed to the sun, and you’re achieving nothing, making this 100% safe for the ganktard.

Oh well then? It’s a barge. In wormholes we just brush off the loss. Then proceed to kill, run off or bait the intruders. Null is capable of doing that much better than us.

Don’t think. The client is the client, it has entirely to do with display and rendering. It should have little to no affect on the servers.

You must mean 90% of blackout detractors are trolls right? Nearly all of them just say “ugh CCP your stoopid, unsubbing X number of accounts” while at least more than a quarter of the supporters at least state why they think it’s good for the game.

My first character was in 0.0 after our corporation was greifed by war declarations.
Therein lies the problem when good PvP can’t be seen any different to seal clubbing.
Pretend it was in Null and there was the blackout. I was dead either way, right? So what is this change going to do for people who do what I did wrong? Nothing.
Not while sleeping. Sucks when you get up to take a dump and next thing you know you wake up and your MTU is gone.
You don’t understand. He is complaining that he can’t afk mine/rat in 100% safety. And I am not even talking about watching porn/netflix while tabbed out. Those people are literally AFK outside doing gardening or something else.

Fun fact. I can watch Netflix on my other screen and play on my phone and STILL NOT SUCK AND DIE while mining with no local in wormholes. Dscan can only be refreshed every 3 seconds anyway. Course nullbears aren’t gonna be happy til local is back up and/or dscan is constant and doesn’t need to be pulsed.

I have the feeling that CCP is thinking that this event will change null sec to push more pvp into it. Making null sec harder to live in. I would bet that we will see the lowest number of eve dudes online this weekend. Null sec players are not jumping onto this train with ccp, they are going offline and start playing other games during this “test” phase.
PVPlers will only find other pvplers in null. All carebears will be offline. xD
